Global warming is hogwash. Planet worship is a sin.

If these Bozos were around in the early 1900's  and they got their way we'd still have people dieing from polio. There's be less people on this planet, almost nothing would have gotten invented, lives would not be more improved, and people would be starving all over the world, still.

Ruling and subdueing have nothing to do with Destroying.

That is a Tyrant and God would not ordain such behaivor. With power comes responsibility.

Unfortanately for the few, destroying is left for interpretaion ONLY, there are so many different opinions about what we have done and what we are doing is that man is wrong. that's a given. When things come to the point where people hate other people merely because of the car they drive, then god does not rule, God's purpose is that we LOVE eachother, progress, make life easy and live free. Not, hate a man because some dopey scientist thinks that by making things easier for us, it makes life harder for others.

Truth is, man has alot to be thankful for.

"We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of the government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

James Madison

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Samuel Adams

"By removing the Bible from schools we would be wasting so much time and money in punishing criminals. Take the Bible out of schools and there would be an explosion in crime."

You might read Genesis Chapter 6 if you want to know Why God DESTROYED the world and all it's inhabitants and why he would do so, then compare it to today. then ask yourself if we are destroying our planet.

Truth is, we ain't. And suggesting that we are is false.

God misspoke.

Besides, we have filled the earth.  What's next?  Shouldn't you be doing nothing while awaiting further orders?

I guess from this point of view there is no need to bother going to the bathroom to take a crap and flushing it down, treat the sewage  and all that hassle.

Just the front lawn or the living room would do fine. Nature has always taken care of it.  We cannot destroy the earth. No need to worship the planet.

Anyone watching  a filthy, polluted river knows we can and do.  Everytime on a larger scale.

The bottom line is:

If global warming is real, and we don't do anything about it, we die.

If global warming isn't real, but we clean up the planet anyway, we all win.

any gambler can tell you that cleaning up the planet anyway, real or not, is the better choice.

(the other two possible choices, if you are a fan of Punnit Squares, are:

If global warming is real and we clean up; we win.

If global warming isn't real and we don't clean up; well, then we lose anyway because the earth will be increasingly dirty, poisonous and ugly.... )

Well .. just wondering how long it will take for this thread to get another post now that it has been moved to the "Environmental board.  :D

BTW ... no K .. If Global Warming is real, and let's hope it is, we thrive.  If the CURRENT COOLING TREND continues, and it the globe cools sufficiently, we die.

The leftists crowd can't seem to separate a true pollutant and an essential gas.  CO2 is not a pollutant ... even if the paid off EPA crowed of Obama thinks so.  THUS . .they can't differentiate between the difference in a cleaner earth with CO2 emission, and a cleaner earth without CO2 emissions.

Putting it frankly, the earth cannot support the current poopulation without energy .. and alternative energy ideas are not sufficient to replace coal, gas, and oil at this point.  Without those energies .... someone's going to die.  SO .. which of you leftists are wiling to put your life where you mouth is ... and voluteer to be one of the ones who starves to death??

There won't need to be any volunteers to starve to death -- lots of people will anyway, without volunteering.  You rightists always want us to do things the hard way.

On the other hand, we are overpopulated, and a lot of people starving and dying of pollution will solve that problem for a while.  I just think it would be nicer to voluntarily limit our population and our effluents rather than having to be forced into it by circumstances.

There have been plenty of civilizations that died from overuse of resources before.  (Read Collapse by Jared Diamond.)

On the other other hand, we know someone who is inventing something that may solve the energy crisis.  do we deserve it? Will they get murdered by the oil people before it helps? Or, maybe it just won't work....

OK .. Kim ..

Are you happy about that?? .. that people will starve to death??  Believe me, if the left succeeds in its goal of taxing the crap out of fossil fuels, starve to death many people will do.

As far as voluntarily limiting our population .. hey .. I'm all over it.  But .. certain groups don't have a clue.  AND .. unfortunately, it is usually the groups that contribute the least to socieity.

As for the mystery guy who is going to solve our energy problems .. how bout a link.

Bodean   ---   It isn't the left that's the problem.  It's the right.  But there hardly is any left anymore -- just right and centrist.

No link.  They're keeping it hush-hush just in case it doesn't end up working out.  but I hope it works, and we can use a lot less fossil fuels overall.  Gasoline is too dangerous to have around.
