Unfortunately, what could be a positive thread was ruined by the need for someone to take a swing at the Bush family.  I believe they are a wonderful and intelligent upstanding family as well.

How is it, do you think, that they could be so warmly embrassed by a family "across the aisle" as the Clintons if this were not so.  The Clintons are highly regarded by the left, and yet they are close to the Bush family... love and respect the Bush family, whom you tear down.

Too bad, someone could not leave this thread to the positivity it could have demonstrated.

Disappointed in the need here to constantly tear down.

For once I totally agree with Human 1.

You can always determine the quality of a family by the behavior of their children.

What I have enjoyed in watching their family is that the girls are allowed to be girls in public.  And you can see that the interactions they do have with their parents are authentic.

I know that their parents both will be very busy but I have a sense that when they are with their children, they will put away their duties and be really present with them.

I liked the story about Obama playing basketball with his future brother in law and how you can a great deal about a person in those moments.  It is true.

Can you even imagine what it is like for Mrs. Robinson to LIVE in the White House and experience all of that history and be a part of?  I wonder if she truly understands how fortunate she is.  All that great food!

I think she fully understands the enormity of it all.

After seeing her in the interviews and realizing her role of helping with the children I could only think how fortunate the First Family is to be able to depend on her to be there.

I think this is such a stellar example of strong family bonds.

1st Lady Obama's family are fine outstanding people. Unlike the disfunctional brood that has vacated their encampment.

I have always been impressed with the persona of the Obama family. You can always determine the quality of a family by the behavior of their children.

This nation can be proud of the First Family's family.  They are good and decent people.

Craig seems like a really nice person...and well accomplished.

I saw that report this morning, too.  Excellent.

I was impressed with how their dad instilled the 'look it up' factor in their lives.  Seeing the well-used dictionary in the basketball players' locker room was a testament to how well that works.  It did in my family, as well.

I was happy to have seen a piece this moring on the Sunday Morning show on Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama's brother.

This piece demonstrated the quality of her family.  It left me with even more confidence in the leadership of our country.
