I have no idea what the problem could be. I will look into it though.

I recently started using Chrome. A funny thing is happening. When I use is one my home computer it to post a post it does not give those tools at the top for making a word bold or underline or paragraph style or hyperlink, etc. All I can do is type in the box. That is one funny thing. The other funny thing is that the same Chrome I use at work will give me those tools at the top when I post a post! Now, a third funny thing. I just tried it on Firefox on my home computer, and the tools at the top appear; they work. Obviously something is different using Chrome on my home computer. Please advise.

As of some time today, the tool buttons are back to normal, in full size and display Smile

I just read a post above mine, which says if you go very slowly you can open those prompts.  Maybe that poster can, maybe others can.  I cannot. Neither can many other posters.  Mainly I cannot open "edit" which I probably use most frequently when I re-read the post.  I try to always correct sentences, spelling, etc.

1.For a long time, I have reported that I am unable to answer a message on the message board.  Just takes me back to the orginal message, no place to answer.  I have reported this problem for over a year, many times, but no answer, and no results.

2. Now I cannot see the prompts above the message after you've closed it.  Such as edit, quote, etc.

They are all squeezed together and the only ones that open are "multi-quote" "report quote" and "delete".  Edit is not working.  Others have reported this as well.

I think we've all noticed by now that the Multiquote, Quote, Edit, Delete, and Report Post buttons on posts are all scrunched together.

The buttons still work, but you have to be careful when using them to make sure you've positioned your cursor on the button you really want to use.  If you float your cursor carefully under any button, you'll get a written description of what that button is.

I've reported this to the tech staff.  When I hear anything back, I'll let you know.

Hi, all —

Merope's BACK!

The tech staff has made a lot of progress toward resolving the issue;  it's almost completely resolved, but not quite.  It's expected that the  issue will be fully resolved by some time tomorrow morning.  In the  meantime, some folks who have thus far been unable to log in may be  able to log in now.

If you are one of those folks, you should first clear your cookies  and cache and then log in.  If you're unsuccessful the first time, you  should try a couple more times.  Log-in success on the first try may be  sporadic for some folks.

Once you're logged in, I'd advise not logging out (and, I guess, not  closing out of your browser or turning off your computer tonight) until I  hear from the tech team tomorrow that the issue has been completely  resolved.

Shoot me an email if you're reading this and still having log-in issues.

Fingers crossed :-)

Hi, all —

It's me, Merope, posting under a sock puppet ID Tongue out

I have a good excuse, though:  I'm unable to log in as Merope.  A lot of folks are in the same situation.  The tech staff is working on the fix, so the issue should be resolved very soon.

The issue is site-wide, affecting folks regardless of operating system and browser, and regardless of whether they use a Mac or a PC.

The issue is not affecting new accounts, though.  So if you're reading this but are unable to log in, you can create a new account for temporary use to post as usual.

Email me at the Ginevra profile if you have any questions.

Many thanks, and thanks for your patience,

And I am wondering what happened to that thread too.

Hi, Sherri —

What happened to it is that I accidentally deleted it and OneSite could not restore it.  I offer my sincere apologies to you and all our members here.

This thread, posted shortly after the delete, says essentially the same thing.
