It's called responsibility,

Why must that responsibility take the form of your beliefs? Aren't other people entitled to their opinions?

You know that you may become pregnant if you have sex.

Which is saying that women should be punished for having sex. In the real world things happen. Condoms break, the "pill" fails, emotions take over. There is no need to force the woman to continue a pregnancy that she does not want. There are 3 responsible actions the woman can use; continue the pregnancy and keep the child, continue and give it up for adoption, or get an abortion. She has a CHOICE. To remove those choices is immoral.

It seems that if a woman is using abortion as birth control that it is about as drastic as her being sterilized, if she continues to have abortions.  Both are extreme measures.
Not every woman that has an abortion is using it as a means of birth control. Forcing women to continue a pregnancy they do not want because a few women have serial abortions is not right.

I know what my definition of NeoCon is, so often liberals or whomever throw it out there for the discussion, but don't have any idea of what it means. I guess I may have been using it to pin you down. As far as what to call the zygote, embryo, or fetus, if my wife was pregnant with our child and someone was to murder her, they would most likely be charged with two counts of murder, no matter how far along she was. Now, you can't have it both ways, emotionalism, semantics, whatever. If it's a life in the murder case it is a life in the abortion case. I also have a MS, and I know a lot about biology, soon will be going back to school for PA. As far as the Bible I’m not going to argue the fact that it is indeed God's word and it says it is. It has proven itself time and time again. My faith is secure, and all of my education has had the effect of strengthening it because of all of the arguments that I have been involved with, mostly with atheist professors.

I've been around awhile. I know all the tricks.

As far as what to call the zygote, embryo, or fetus, if my wife was pregnant with our child and someone was to murder her....

That old trick isn't going to work either. And I've read the bible. It is silent on the issue of abortion. Many take several, absurdly written, passages out of context and try to claim they are actually about abortion, but it's obvious that they're just making it say what they want it to. Abortion would have been no big deal back then. The common belief was that the baby was "ensouled" upon first breath. But it is still irrelevant. You have absolutely no right to force your religious opinions on others.

Abortion is actually off topic. The absurd claim that Obama is a Marxist is the topic here.

Removed quite a few posts as being off topic. The only board where abortion can be discussed is the Abortion Debate Board. Also, this board is for discussion, not debate. Carry on.
