After reading "On the Brink" by Tyler Drumheller former chief of CIA Clandestine Operations - Europe, I see clearly how the Bush Administration managed to manipulate the American people into believing that we were in mortal danger from Saddam Hussein and his WMD's. While at the same time ignoring warnings of flawed intelligence from an Iraqi defecter name "Curveball". Obviously, Bush and Cheney saw a big opportunity to capture Hussein, bomb and devastate Iraq, take control of the oil there, give Cheney''s outfit Halliburton the rebuilding contracts and claim it was all to protect the American people. If this wasn't a conspiracy, I don't know what else you would call it. A conspiracy to go to war. Now in light of the current $147.00 a barrel for crude, you might say they were thinking ahead and perhaps the OPEC countries (with no love for America) were planning on cutting off our supply, holding it over our heads so to speak, or overcharging as they now are. After all Bush said plainly "that time eventually will tell his legacy". Maybe he was doing a bad thing for good reasons?

Tawny-
As far as I am concerned, I cannot ascribe ANY good motives to the NeoCon war. In fact, since the USG is a bankrupt corporation in receivership to the international bankers of the Federal Reserve/IMF/World Bank, I believe that the vast majority of those in and around the Oval Office were "zimply followink ordahs" issued from behind the scenes, for the banksters discovered long ago that both they and the corporations allied with them make OBSCENE profits during wartime, and are unsatisfied with the steady profits of peacetime. As Plato(iirc) noted, "A tyrant is always stirring up some war or other, that the People may require a leader." Bush is just a toy in their hands; he's not his own man, he's a shill for corporate interests, a lightning rod to draw and identify dissent. With goodwill to all the People- Hatman
"History records that the moneychangers have used every form of abuse, deceit, intrigue, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it's issuance."
