From the UK Independent Al-Qa'ida 'grooming children for UK terror attacks' Published: 05 November 2007 AlQaeda is deliberately "grooming" children and young people to carry out terror attacks in Britain, the head of MI5 warned today. In his first public speech since becoming director-general in April, Jonathan Evans said the security service was facing "the most immediate and acute peacetime threat" in its 98-year history. Addressing a Society of Editors Conference in Manchester, he said the number of individuals in Britain identified by MI5 as having links with terrorism had risen from 1,600 last year to at least 2,000. And he said they suspected there could be a similar number again who they did not know about. Mr Evans warned they were part of a "deliberate campaign" being waged against Britain by al-Qa'ida - which was extending its tentacles across the Middle East and Africa. "Terrorist attacks we have seen against the UK are not simply random plots by disparate and fragmented groups," he said. "The majority of these attacks, successful or otherwise, have taken place because al-Qa'ida has a clear determination to mount terrorist attacks against the United Kingdom. "This remains the case today, and there is no sign of it reducing." Mr Evans highlighted the way al-Qa'ida was targeting vulnerable young people as terrorist recruits and warned of the need to protect children from exposure to "violent extremism". "As I speak, terrorists are methodically and intentionally targeting young people and children in this country," he said. "They are radicalising, indoctrinating and grooming young, vulnerable people to carry out acts of terrorism. This year, we have seen individuals as young as 15 and 16 implicated in terrorist-related activity." Mr Evans said the terror plots were being directed from a widening range of countries. While in the past much of the planning had come from al-Qa'ida's "core leadership" in the tribal areas of Pakistan, there were now signs that al-Qa'ida in Iraq was seeking to promote attacks outside that country while there was terrorist training and planning in Somalia directed against the UK. I thought you all should know the nature of the enemy of Western Ciivization that we are dealing with. Does anyone doubt that such schools are here in the US also?? [/COLOR] |

In recent days, another of the Islamic roots in terror have come to my attention, that I of Islamic Schools.
One story is about a 12 year old boy who could recite the Koran, 60 pages of it by rote. It took him two hours. However, he had difficulty communicating, knew no math, and was functionally illiterate. The UK revealed that there are 2000 Muslims being trained in Islamic schools, where a similar education is available. They are being prepared to respond to a Mullahs call to suicide murder in the UK. In Pakistan, especially Western Pakistan, the schools are the principle public available and the graduates are eagerly sought by alQaeda. The following Video is a balanced view. Video:Children of Faith The word madrassah means center of learning in Arabic Madrassahs provide free religious education, boarding and lodging and are essentially schools for the poor. A madrassah student learns how to read, memorize and recite the Quran properly. Madrassahs issue certificates of various levels. A madrassah systems university is called Dar Ul Ulum, (usually having hundreds of students) a primary school a Maktab, (up to fifty students) and an integrated school with various levels is simply called a Madrassah. The graduating students are called Huffaz-e-Quran (those who memorize the Arabic text of the Quran) or Qaris (those who can recite Quranic verses with proper Arabic pronunciation); or those with advanced theological training are known as Ulema (Religious Scholar). All madrassahs provide free education and also offer free boarding and lodging to students who come mainly from the poorer strata of society and not necessarily from the communities they are based in. Some rich and middle class families also send their children to madrassahs for Quranic lessons and memorization where they are usually day students. The Madrassahs teach from the Koran and there are very inflamatory versions of the koran. If children are taught the ones I have seen, thay are easy converts fo Islamic Terrorists. |

The threat is revealed below Rep. John F. Tierney, Massachusetts Democrat and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on national security, worries that Pakistan's madrassas pose a long-term threat to the U.S. "Will we be safe over the next five, 10 or 20 years as thousands — perhaps millions — more kids learn jihad at extremist madrassas instead of learning real-world skills to become productive citizens in their communities?" Mr. Tierney asked. |

I was disgusted to see Lynne Cheney's `America: A Patriotic Primer' specially displayed in the children's section of a US public library. Propaganda to die for.
