I thought I might re-open this announcements thread first.

How to post?

Well, those of us who got used to HTML features will have to adjust.
As that little text on the bottom tells us, "HTML code is Off".

Instead, we can post now with vB codes, a kind of message board language
used on many other forums as well. (Do you say 'forums' or 'fora'?)
The link, also from the bottom of this page is this:
learn the vb codes.

As I understand, the 'bandwidth theft' argument seems to have vanished on the move, and
image posting also is allowed more bgenerously (see that same vB code link for how to do that).

Another thing I just ound out for myself is the opton "User CP"
which you can see on the upper left. When you click on it, you
get options like adding signatures to your posts (see below, he he),
add avatar pictures, and more fancy yet insubstantial stuff.

I appreciate all the (technical) help I can get! I was initially flummoxed with this new setup. [Sigh]

The big news here is the federal election runup! I expect to get very busy in the next several weeks.

Can you tell me why I have trouble with apostraphies and some commas?  They seem to end the post right 'there

I stopped getting Email notifications on most topics

If the problem is too many subscriptions, how do we know how many we have?

I tried to eliminate all but the current ones, and still no emails.
