Which ones? Actually, while we are at it, which god?

My gods are real. I think he is talking about mine.

Sure. Take all the gods. Leave none for the rest of us.  ;P

As long as you leave one for me, I'm good with that : ))

Your gods are real, my gods are real, I have no problem with even his god being real (Nam, sit down, I know we can't prove it or even offer evidence, you don't need to yell at the computer) I just don't get how he thinks that some scribblings "prove it".

Yesterday, in America, 100 million gun owners did nothing.

"The end-times prophecies prove that God is real."

It would make as much sense to say that "floor wax is proof that god is real".

I am genuinely puzzled by this one.

Sorry SG.    It was allthegoodnames that mentioned Ragnarok and didn't "harp" on it.

I do not know if you believe in the endtime myth of Ragnarok.

Do you?

Do you believe in any endtime myth?

All and I are both Asatru.  Believe in Ragnarok?  Hard to say. I believe it is a fantastic metaphor we can all learn from, but do I believe that Heimdall will actually kill Loki at Ragnarok?  Not likely, though I suppose it is as likely as the story of Revelation.

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

Do three Norns sit at the roots of Yggdrasil where they weave our fates - and at sometime they will take the shears and cut our thread? I don't think so, but its a wonderful metaphor all the same.

I probably won't be rendering this right, but 'Wyrd bid ful araed'. This I believe.

The length of my life and the time of my death were decided on long ago.  What is for me to choose is the manner in which I live my life.

Who or what is it that did the "deciding"?

Was the "manner" of your death decided a long time ago.

This sounds similar to the belief in "predestination".

From the flow of the posts, I thought it was obvious.
