Which "love of Christ" are we talking about? The one where he says "love thy neighbor", or the one where he says "hate your family"? |

To be blunt, it sounds kind of wrong to me, but hey, whatever works for you.

What the Ultimate Truth is cannot be described. No one has ever been able to say what the Ultimate Truth is. It is beyond word and thought. It is forever outside all dualities and hence can never be described by our dualistic languages. This is why the Ultimate Truth is called silence. It can, however, be experienced in Samadhi. |

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

The question that cannot be asked, yet is apparent to everyone. It is hiding in plain sight......

You know, that actually disappointed me a bit.

Yeah, I think they led up to it too much, and have given us too much information, so now we all know what it is going to be.
I liked Davies as a writer. He would come up with story arcs that I didn't see how they would end, and so the Dr was a amazingly intelligent believible superhero for being able to figure them out. Moffet can't seem to, so his Dr ends up being a smart guy who lives down the block.

I thought that was the direction they were going, but I was hoping for something more inventive. Also, the "Doctor? Doctor Who?" bit has been a running gag for nearly 50 years. Now maybe he is planning to turn it into something more, but it never seemed to me to be something that deserved any weight.

That the Ultimate Reality is silence is the conclusion of the path known as via negativa. The Upanishads call this path neti neti (not this, not that). What the Ultimate Reality is can not be described. One can either say what It is not (and it is not anything that one can think of) or one has to remain silent. |

Why in the world is anyone looking for an ultimate truth, why is there a need for one? Why does there have to be one?
A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle
