I think Annie very eloquently addressed what I would have.

Yesterday, in America, 100 million gun owners did nothing.

Annie was nicer than I am on my best day.

I don't know how to be that nice.

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

Everytime I try to sound that nice, I come off as patronizing.  Or at least that's what my wife says.

Well, your wife is always right.

I just lost the ability to sound nice a number of years ago. Actually, it was right about the time my ex stalked me here on B'net and used a macro to post all sorts of personal info about me on the Witchcraft and Pagan boards. About then, I lost my patiences with idiots and buttmunches and started treated everyone who said anything even slightly obnoxious cruelly.

It's worked out really well.

Oh, and I bought a few guns. If he chooses to come after me again, he is in for a number of nasty surprises.

I think that happened right before I came here.

Thank you both :)   I do try to be diplomatic, but sometimes I think I overdo it, and then my real point can be lost.

"I have to respectfully disagree. Allah is not the same God."

Respectfully disagree all you want. Coptic Christians call "God" "Allah".

It's Arabic for "god".

One of the many things I find fascinating is the way they try and squish every other being into their god while telling us it is not their god.

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

A Firestar M43. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Firestar_M43

I love this gun. I have tiny hands and was looking at some Kimber subcompacts when I found this one. It has to be tiny for me to get a good grip on it. I still may buy a Kimber later on. The Glocks seem to be too big. All the ones I have held are, anyway.
