That preacher revised his predictions.

A California preacher who foretold of the world's end only to see the appointed day pass with no extraordinarily cataclysmic event has revised his apocalyptic prophecy, saying he was off by five months and the Earth actually will be obliterated on Oct. 21.

The scary thought:

As dumb as you think this guy is, his followers are dumber.

Democrats think the glass is half full.
Republicans think the glass is theirs.
Libertarians want to break the glass, because they think a conspiracy created it.

From article: A California preacher who foretold of
the world's end only to see the appointed day pass with no extraordinarily
cataclysmic event has revised his apocalyptic prophecy, saying he was off by
five months and the Earth actually will be obliterated on Oct. 21.

Later in article: It was not the first time Camping
was forced to explain when his prediction didn't come to pass. The 89-year-old
retired civil engineer also prophesied the Apocalypse would come in 1994, but
said later that didn't happen then because of a mathematical error.

So why isn’t he catching his errors before they evidence themselves as being incorrect? Inquiring minds want to know!

Or does his being a retired civil engineer have something to do with not checking one’s calculations for error prior to acting upon them? Most engineers I know are very meticulous about their work.  Guess this guy isn’t.

Irene.

This will give him 5 months to get the heck out of the US and go somewhere where his followers can't find him.

I can't wait, I was rather disapointed in the lack of rapture this last weekend.  Although I did get excited with the volcano going off in Iceland.

I am going to buy front row seats to the apocalypse.

I am so glad it has been postponed, I haven't gotten around to installing the rapture hatch in my roof yet. :-)

Some people are so gullible and will believe anything because it sounds right and it seems right, but it’s so far from the truth. This man is clearly operating out of his own will and not God’s will because God is not in anything he is saying. The Word of God says it all. It’s sad that these people will still be flocking to him and giving him tons money because they so desperately want to believe in this man, but all they have to do is read the Bible for themselves. It says it in plain English “no man knows that day nor the hour Christ will return.” It failed once, it failed twice and it will fail again because God does not operate under man’s predictions. This man better wise up and get right because he may be the one going on October 21.

Yes hurry up and finish that, or you'll be stuck in your attic :))

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle
