Hi, my name is Nathan and I'm from a Jewish Background and I am now a Christian of the Mennonite Anabaptist tradition. The hardest thing for me making this faith transition was the emotional abuse from my father and he never wanted to listen to why I became a Mennonite. I still love the Jewish people and respect Judaism very much, however I never had a lot of peace in the Jewish religion. The only point I'm bringing up is that it seems like not for the most part that Judaism has a double standard for those who leave Judaism. I have peace with my faith and it was hard for me to leave Judaism, but I still consider myself an ethnic Jew. |
