You know it is very easy to say "I didn't mean it like everyone is taking it." or more simply "I'm sorry."

You path sounds like teen angst to me. My children would have loved to tell me that it was their religion - come to think of it, maybe it was.:)
Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. Marcus Aurelius

Well if it helps, it wasn't meant as intended and sorry for the confusion. I cannot see how you equate teen angst with the goal of impartiality but that is another matter. :)

There seems to be no place for joy in your worldview. Is there?

Thank you!

Oddly enough, if I were going to join a religion, it probably would be Asatru.  I've all ways been interested in old Norse stuff.

If I were going to do such a thing anyway.  Just thinking I'd probably follow my interests.

The Asatrau are beautiful people, aren't they?   :)

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

Likely because it is, very obviously, an unrealized goal.  No offense.  People cannot see goals, but they can see behaviors.

To the contrary, it is the only place you'll truly find it and the result of impartial witnessing of difficult truths in the raw.. Simone describes it well:

"A test of what is real is that it is hard and rough. Joys are found in it, not pleasure. What is pleasant belongs to dreams." Simone Weil -- Gravity and Grace

Yes they are.  And the principles and values they subscribe to seem to closely mirror my own.:)

I just can't seem to believe in the existence of supernatural creatures.  Otherwise we might have our first conversion for these threads.

I come from a tradition that says there is no reason for you, all, to believe in something you haven't experienced.

My tradition asserts the same.
