Want to piggie back on something about his Native American heritage. This is a civilization that can trace its origins back 14000 years.

This civilization is twice the age of the earth.

They have no recollection of a flood that was worldwide.

Perhaps this civilization is actually post flood. In that case some of the ancestors of Noahs sons in a rather short period of time managed to travel from the Ararat region to North America and somehow develop a culture quite different from a semitic culture. In fact they never even bothered to worship YHWH, who just saved them from certain death, but rather began to worship a variety of Native American gods.

Either that or Wohali's people are lying.

I think in order to cram YECism into scientifically-derived timelines about humans, Noah's sons would have to travel back in time --- to populate the Americas, the populate Australia, to move as cro-Magnon into Europe, etc.

The evidence of human occupation all over the world is yet another set of evidence that strongly contradicts a literal interpretation of Noah's flood.

Our cousins in Australia trace their time back 50,000 years, and have been confirmed by science.

Yup.

The Big Bang dates to some 13.8 bn years ago - 2,300,000 times the age of the universe.

The earth itself is over 4.5 bn years old - 750,000 times its own age.

Stromatolites, whose kind are still found in various parts of the earth, trace their ancestry back 3.5 bn years or better - 584,000 times the age of the universe.

Genus Homo's been around for 2 million years or more - 334 times the age of the universe.

Yahweh is about 3,500 years old - about three fifths of the age of the universe.

As you say, the data are singular.

Folks, let's stop denying the truth.

The truth is that Satan clouded their minds and led them astray.

That's the answer every time, and it works for YECs.

1. Extremists think that thinking means agreeing with them.
2. There are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth.
3. God is the original nothingness of the universe.

So where are all the YECs with their evidence and research showing that the mainstream dates for old societies are wrong?

Let me guess: you guys don't have anything to offer but opinions.

Cool

FPD, 57, iam and all YECs at sea ---- where is your evidence-based case that all the mainstream dating for these various civilizations around the world is wrong?

Do your claims have any foundation at all except your peculiar and human-derived (ie., fallible) way of reading the Bible?

Why should we elevate the untrained opinion of one minority group of one faith over the many expert opinions in various fields on how old these culture are?
