This is breaking news from the world of physics.  Why did the cutting edge of physics science move to Europe?  Why was our Texas collider project killed in the US which would have brought this accomplishment to the USA? Could our vociferous anti-science creationists lobby have been responsible?

To refresh your memory, the Higgs boson is the only fundamental subatomic particle predicted by theory but heretofore not detected.  Is this science prophesy on more solid ground that any Biblical prophesies our Bible thumpers are always asserting?

The public education system, regarding science, is feeding students lies, which they are believing, and the society has fallen socially.

Manufacturing has left the land and is overseas, so that the technologies and their human skills, are no longer there to be passed down to youth to replace them.  The knowledge base has left the nation.

Why should "but animals" have any interest in scientific research and science technologies?

Science interest is stifled by the evolution indoctrination in the public classrooms, churches, media, etc.

The USofA is going down the tubes, scientifically, morally, socially, financially, ecconomically, ...

You have to admit though, science predictions have a much better success rate than any prophesies from the Bible. Science has hundreds of thousands of successful predictions documented in the published literature that have subsequently been shown true. OTOH, you can hardly prove even one Biblical prophesy to have come true without gross handwaving about imagined circumstances and excuses on your part. LOL

In large part because of the sleazy imitation Christianity peddled by young-Earth creationists.

Case in point that you, yourself, just mentioned:

According to you, because evolution says we are "just animals" we can't be any different than animals--we can't even be interested in scientific discoveries.

This lie, repeated by you and the rest of your cult, is only evidence of your moral corruption.

The USofA is not without money. It's without backbone, foresight and choosing to not invest in the future.

What does she think they teach in European schools? They won't touch creationism with a ten-foot pole. In fact, they ridicule Americans for believing in it.

Well, considering that the "but animals" of Europe, Japan, South Korea, China, India, etc. (you know, the ones who fully accept the Theory of Evolution) are obviously much MORE interested in scientific research and scientific technologies, this transparently becomes a very stupid argument.

Science interest is stifled by the evolution indoctrination in the public classrooms, churches, media, etc.

They indoctrinate the Theory of Evolution in churches? Really? You must be going to the wrong church.

As for the media, they just report what's happening. It is not the media's fault that you "fundie christian creationists" are such an ABYSMAL FAILURE at producing anything in support of your bronze age, goat herder fairy tales.

The USofA is going down the tubes, scientifically, morally, socially, financially, ecconomically, ...

Well, considering that much of Western Europe, Japan and South Korea are BETTER than the USofA by almost any scientific, moral and social standard you can think of ... AND they fully accept the Theory of Evolution, then perhaps we should look elsewhere ... such as the percentage of their populations that are "fundamentalist christian creationists". I'm guessing there is a better correlation there than there is for the acceptence of the ToE.

Don't go blaming that which you have denied / rejected / derided /  for years!

Okay, try this on for size:

Western Europe, Japan, South Korea, India, China - almost no "fundie christian creationists" - high interest and productivity in scientific research and science technologies.

US of A - VERY large population of "fundie christian creationists" - low interest and productivity in scientific research and science technologies.

Perhaps you should take your own advice.

"creationism" ... 2000+ years worth of ABYSMAL FAILURE ... and proud of it.

1.  The old Earth/evolution model is the only one that explains what is found in geology, biology and astronomy without invoking Harry Potter-like magic.  The conclusions of this model flow directly from data collected by thousands of people of all religious stripes.  Should we instead teach YEC theology and apologetics as science, telling students things like "The RATE team found evidence of 500 million years of radioactive decay, but let's just ignore that fact because it makes baby jesus cry?" (Funny how you are unable to even discuss those RATE results.)

The only group in this debate consistently feeding people lies, Iam, is the YECs --- from your consistently dishonest websites like CMI to your dishonest researchers like Walt Brown or the YEC RATE group to the rank and file who consistently equate acceptance of evolution with atheism, even in other Christians.  The whole YEC model is nothing but fabrications, misrepresentations, magic wand waving and blatant lying.

I'll ask again ---- isn't honesty a Christian value?  Then why isn't it a YEC value?

2.  Overseas manufacturing hasn't the slightest thing to do with evolution being taught in public schools.  It has to do with nothing beyond the bottom line.   Wal-Mart is the poster child of evangelical Christian businesses --- and look at its overseas practices.  So, this whole claim is obviously just more YEC dishonest BS.  Yeah, let's teach our kids YEC morals; they will be able to tell any lie with impunity.

3.   Teaching the best science we currently have --- and that is evolution and an old Earth --- doesn't discourage kids from going into science, but I bet teaching your kids to distrust any science that contradicts your simplistic reading of the Bible probably does.  Note that students taught evolution/old Earth don't suddenly realize they have been lied to when they get old enough to look at the issue for themselves, but YEC kids do --- that's why they're leaving your churches in droves.

4.  Name a time when the USA was more moral than it is today --- and be prepared to defend your claim.  You've never been successful in that before an I doubt you have anything new to offer now.

Hmmmm....

"Religion is much more important to Americans than to people living in other wealthy nations. Six-in-ten (59%) people in the U.S. say religion plays a very important role in their lives. This is roughly twice the percentage of self-avowed religious people in Canada (30%), and an even higher proportion when compared with Japan and Western Europe. Americans’ views are closer to people in developing nations than to the publics of developed nations."

"The Global Attitudes study correlated views on religion with annual per capita income and found that wealthier nations tend to place less importance on religion — with the exception of the United States. This is seen most clearly in Asia, where publics in the two wealthiest nations surveyed — Japan and South Korea — are far less likely to cite religion as personally important than those in poorer nations of the region. The lone exception is Vietnam, however, where just 24% of the public view religion as very important. (Questions on the personal importance of religion were not permitted in China, and were deemed too sensitive to ask in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.)"

Clearly, too much emphasis on religion is bad for a society. I think we knew that already. IMHO, it gets even worse when a society has one religion rather than many.
