57: Apples and oranges...your reply is off topic. Not at all. You made the claim that an undirected natural process can not make "amazing use" of information. I pointed out that a different undirected natural process involving light not only makes "amazing use" of current information, but of also seemingly uses information from the past and the future. According to the "logic" you posted, then, photons make intelligent decisions. Again, to use your question from your post: how does YECism "empirically get around such amazing use of information" BY "an undirected process?" More, I again point out that you haven't offered the slightest "empirical evidence" that complexity requires a designer, just your personal opinion that this must be so. And really, your uninformed opinion on this matter carries no weight at all. How much more on-topic can I be than illuminating that your claim of "empirical evidence" is bogus and illustrating how scientifically silly your conclusion is? |

Most likely by the same evolutionary process as everything else. Several different ways of protein folding arose via mutations and the one that exists now is the one that offered the best repoductive advantage. Are you ever going to answer this question on the thread YOU started? How do stars burn up all their available fuel and explode to form supernova remnants in only a few thousand years? Please provide any available evidence for your claim. |

Here is a hint: the video says that chemicals function AS IF characters in a language or code. That does not mean they ARE characters. That does not mean they carry information. They are chemicals. People who don't know better mistake AS IF for IS. They should learn more about chemistry.

“Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions…for safety on the streets…for child care, for social welfare…for rape crisis centers, women’s refuges, reforms in the law. If someone says, “Oh, I’m not a feminist,” I ask, “Why, what’s your problem?” Dale Spender |

Get real Kwinters. Next thing you'll be telling me the information stored on a disk really isn't information but magnetized bits. |

Kristi knows what she is talking about, 57, and we all understand that.... except you, somehow. Look at her post again, and reflect on the meaning of the language. She is right, and you are wrong.

Poor old Shannon must be turning over in his grave. Can you define information, 57? Here's a hint: the definition is mathematical.
