iama: Once a scientist is convicted of his / her sin of unbelief in Christ Jesus as Savior, righteous-God, and that Satan is judged, a change takes place within the human spirit which causes a changed worldview. At that point, the whole world view must be changed to align with The Bible's truth. As long as one is ascribing to another world view, there is no dissonance prompting any change of world view elements. That is a good test for anyone desiring to know if they are a child of God, or not. If one is a child of God, there will be continued dissonance regarding origins of all things, until origins of all things comes into alignment with The Bible. Theistic evolution and a historical Genesis are incompatible! If there isn't sufficient evidence to change someone's mind about evolution/origins, then there isn't sufficient evidence to support the YEC position at all. As everyone has been saying for years, this isn't an evidence-based position or a scientific position --- it's a faith-based position. You can call it "theology", but I personally call solving dissonance problems by rejecting evidence and common sense "delusion." |

There are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth.
God is just a personification of reality, of pure objectivity. |
