Where did it all go? IIRC, you're talking about more than 4,500,000,000 billion km^3 of water.
In case you have trouble with visualizing that, that would be 4,500,000,000,000,000,000 tonnes of water - something more than three times the amount of water on earth.

I think that it's pretty sad and pretty unbelievable that there are so many healthy, powerful, and healing foods that I have learned about from watching "The Doctor Oz Show"...but unfortunately, most Americans from their childhood on up, have only learned how to eat what is essentially equivalent to 'garbage'...and are basically in a 'slumber' when it comes to not having a clue as to what that kind of food is doing to their bodies and to their health. Daniel 4:10-11...his VISION...like Jack and the Beanstalk! 10 Now the VISIONS of my head upon my bed I happened to be beholding, and, look! a tree in the midst of the earth, the height of which was immense. 11 The tree grew up and became strong, and its very height finally reached the heavens, and it was visible to the extremity of the whole earth.
But, RGurley, even if God was giving Daniel a 'Jack and the Beanstalk'-like vision, a JATB-like vision still wouldn't allow a tree to be so tall that it could be visible to the extremity of the whole earth since that would be impossible for a spherical earth.
However, for the tree to be visible to the extremity of the whole earth, God would have also had to have given Daniel a vision of a flat earth. However, there is no where in Daniel chapter 4 that says that God gave Daniel a vision of a flat earth.

Sorry, RGurley, but the sun doesn't rotate around the earth. However, if you meant the earth's rotation around the sun, unfortunately, that still isn't what causes sunrises and sunsets. But instead, it's the earth spinning or rotation on it's axis which gives the appearance of sunrises and sunsets....which is something that the Bible never makes a mention of.
However, here is one Bible passage that explains how the sun rises and how the sunsets:
Psalm 19:1-6(emphasis mine)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

You don't take someone up a high mountain to show them a TV show. You take them up a high mountain because the earth is flat so that from such a vantage point you can see all the kingdoms of the world.

I really don't know about 'the mountain top account that you presented from the OT, but JWs' explanation for Matthew 4:8 is that the Devil showed Jesus a 'vision' of all the kingdoms of the world after he took him to the very high mountain. However, after reading what is mentioned in Daniel 4:11 concerning how the very tall tree became visible to the extremity of the whole earth, there's really no reason not to believe that Matthew 4:8 is conveying the idea that the Devil literally took Jesus up a very high mountain and literally showed him all the kingdoms of the world.
I just think that because we now have a more accurate cosmological view of the earth and the universe....we now 'project' our understaning of those views onto stories that were written thousands of years ago when people living at that time didn't have those views.
Plus, if Satan was showing Jesus a 'vision' of all the kingdoms of the world, then the Bible could have easily said that the Devil was showing Jesus a 'vision' of all the kingdoms of the world.

For example, Isaiah 40:22 shows the earth is round - the Hebrew word "chwug" can mean a circle in 2 dimensions and sphere in 3 dimensions. OR ... sense of being "encompassed" or "that which is contained within."
"Chwug" means "circle" and only "circle." If Isaiah had wanted to describe the earth as a sphere, he would have used the word for ball. He did not. He pictured the earth as a flat disk, just like everyone else in the Near East at that time.

None. There was never a water vapor canopy. Not even in Biblical cosmology. The water above the earth was supposed to be ordinary sea water, not vapor. It was prevented from flooding the earth by the firmament, a solid dome in which the stars were mounted. Obviously, modern science has disproved this.
