Aw come on blu, we all want to marry a good woman, we want good government. Aren't the qualities of sincerity,honesty,self-control, truthfulness, good to cultivate or practice?

There's no such single thing as goodness.  Your good may be bad for me or vice versa.  Our good may be bad for dolphins and vice versa.  When Freda leaves Fred that may be bad for Fred but good for Freda or vice versa.  The great majority of judgments about what's good and what's bad are made from just such personal perspectives.

As you point out, some things can only be judged subjectively.  Goodness, beauty, perhaps even truth, are subjective.  They depend on the individual and perhaps even in the context of the surroundings.  But that does nor mean that they don't exist.

They exist indeed but simply as a kaleidoscope of views on advantage and disadvantage, with no single meaning.  Forty people may have forty views on the goodness or badness of the one event, and all of them will be right.
