Switch to Forum Live View Marfa lights

I'm planning on spending a night next week looking at the Marfa lights.  Anyone have any suggestions for things I should look for?  I'll have a camera, but can't be sure it's sensitive enough to pick up the lights.  I've seen them before, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm looking for, but will accept any advice for things to try to observe.

I've heard of them, but never been there or seen them ...

Nope.  The only lights I saw were a really nice rainbow.  Some folks did see some lights, but they were just car lights.  They were, interestingly, in the direction one was told to look.  But I had seen the real lights and knew what we were looking for and that wasn't it.  It wasn't even in the right area.  Still a nice night, mostly star filled in the desert area.  It wasn't a waste.
