1) Is sickle-cell anemia a beneficial design outcome or a harmful one?

2) According to what criteria are you making your assessment?

Jesus had two dads, and he turned out alright.~ Andy Gussert

“Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions…for safety on the streets…for child care, for social welfare…for rape crisis centers, women’s refuges, reforms in the law.

If someone says, “Oh, I’m not a feminist,” I ask, “Why, what’s your problem?”

I'd like to see an answer to this question, too, Kristi, but I won't be holding my breath. Expect some vague hand-waving and mumbo-jumbo about "the Fall" (cue: thunder and lightning and dramatic music), if anything at all.

Officially IDers don't identify the IDesigner.

Officially they don't even claim there's only one.

So it's open to them to answer your question by saying that IDesigners are out there tinkering for their own amusement, callously indifferent to the results of their games.

Let's see if any IDer makes such a claim.

It's unlikely, since (as was shown in detail at the Dover case) ID is a development of creationism intended (unsuccessfully) to avoid the legal problems that creationism had earlier encountered via Lemon, Epperson, Edwards &c.  That's to say, everyone knows that the ID's meant to be Yahweh.

Shhhh! Be vewy vewy quiet, they are hunting wabbit kinds.

Democrats think the glass is half full.
Republicans think the glass is theirs.
Libertarians want to break the glass, because they think a conspiracy created it.

Your post is comparing apples to oranges.

Sickle-cell anemia has changed from the original design where de-evolutionism has worked on it.

On the basis of what evidence do you say that?

What, exactly, is the apple and what, exactly is the orange in your weak excuse for a response?

Your response doesn't even make sense, and it has no basis in reality either.

Try again, for real this time.
