My name is Amanda Bonney, and I am a new member to this site. I just recently (like an hour ago) took the beliefnet quiz and got 100% Orthodox Quaker. I was curious and I took some reading into it and all of the beliefs within the Quaker belief are exactly the same as mine and I have decided I will go after that faith. So anyone that knows about the faith have any links or ideas I should check out or possibly get in touch with me about the whole faith?

The largest Orthodox Friends association is Friends United Meeting. See their Web site at http://www.fum.org/
QuakerInfo.com - http://www.quakerinfo.com/ - is another useful site. |

There is a big difference between big O Orthodox Quaker and little o orthodox Christian into which camp the evangelical branch would fall. Orthodox Quakers would generally fall into the theologically liberal Christian category. Bill's suggestions are good, and I would add that discussions at QuakerQuaker.org might be helpful too. |

In regards to the preceeding post, regarding "big O" and "little o." I am an evangelical (non-liberal) Quaker pastor. When I take the Belief-O-Matic test, I come out 100% Orthodox Quaker. I think evangelicals are represented by same, since there is also a Liberal Quaker result (which comes out near the bottom of my match-list). |
