Finish the sentence:

Pro-choice is the choice to kill one's defenseless son or daughter living in their mother's womb.

Why are PCers so unable/unwilling to recognize that fact?

Besides the OP being spot on, the sentence you added should realize, it's a woman's right to kill the defenseless daughter or son living in the womb. It's a zygote, an embryo, a fetus , a parasite. Most importantly, the womb is that woman's private property.

When will pro-life advocates realize if they don't want anyone to walk into their house and redecorate at will, knock out walls, burn bibles, force the inhabitants to attend a different church or no church at all, because someone else decides they have every right to disagree with how the inhabitants of that/those house(es) are living their private lives, then the ardent Pro-life that would object to all that needn't think that metaphor doesn't apply to women's private property uterus!

When pro-life advocates stop setting bombs in clinics and/or murdering doctors, they'll live their creed instead of sending the message they're terrorist zealots bent on slaughter of the life post-utero.

When pro-life advocates adopt the babies that are born into a world with no family to welcome them, they'll then live the creed. Instead of how it is heralded now, from the sidewalks in front of abortion clinics, an anthem that speaks to an agenda that says; we want to populate the world, whether helpless newborns have a home to go to or not. OBEY! BREED! Renounce your rights, unto our will. Selfish agenda commands more! No matter if it will be given a life of Less.(So that those born baby girls, can grow up and when they're fertile be terrorized by those who commanded they be born in the first place. )

Finish the sentence..Live up to the expectations forced on others.

I certainly don't advocate for bombing clinics or killing people. At the same time people who view unborn human beings as parasites are not much better than those who view abortionists as parasites.

And, a woman's uterus/body is not always hers to do with as she pleases (prostitution is illegal). Killing unborn children is legal for now but everything legal isn't always morally right.

If someone is against infanticide, they are not required to adopt every baby in order to speak out against the evils of infanticide. Same with abortion.

Well said. Especially the last sentence, "No one is in a better position to understand her situation and decide whether a pregnancy should be carried to term than the pregnant woman herself".  Not judges, legislators, members of the clergy, or other total strangers.

If there's truly nothing morally wrong with abortion then why is it so difficult for PCers to word it in an honest way?

"vii) recognizing the dignity and rights of women while fully supporting whatever decision the woman thinks is best for her. Her right to control over her own reproductive status is paramount and sacrosanct."

Rights language is puzzling to me. Where does the right to abortion come from?

Prochoice means thata living, breathing sentient woman should not become subserviant to a few cells that cannot survive without her. That pregnancy does not reduce a woman's legal status to incubator. It also means that no one should be forced to have an abortion against their will. If your 16 year old daughter has become pregnant--however you fear for what it may do to the rest of her life--if she decides to go through with the pregnancy, you support her decision. If her decision is to have an abortion, you support her in that as well.

If a child under 14 becomes pregnant and it has been medically determined neither she of the embryo would survive if the pregnancy isn't terminated, you save the child who is here now and prosecute who ever impregnated her to the full extent of the law.

Of course, you'd also have to pray that the day of her abortion isn't the same day someone concerned about "the sanctity of life" decides to firebomb the clinic and kill or injure all the doctors, nurses, and patients inside.

"You are letting your opinion be colored by facts again."
'When I want your opinion, I'll give it to you."
these are both from my father.
