I agree with the above description, by the way. I'm sorry that the chemo is taking so much of your energy, but I pray that it is giving any cancer cells an even harder time. I also agree that you are one of the most balanced, caring people here. I've never seen you shout at someone unless it was in a positive sentence. I hope that all the love that you have sent out to people here is returned to you three-fold for a complete cure.

I will use two quotes from my Mother that I've still been working on since childhood to figure out--although that may have been her intention. 1. "Think I missed you? Just try turning your head" and 2. "He's damned by his I.Q.. Leave him to his fate"...although "Nobody loves me . Everybody hates me. I'm going to go out to the garden and eat worms" and "My heart bleeds purple Koolaid for you" came through loud and clear.

I'm glad it helped--now for equal time I'll give you a few of Daddy's:

That person wipes both ends just to be sure. (We didn't get that one when we were little but loved it anyway.)
After one of those idiot drivers who were weaving in and out of traffic endangering everyone, Daddy was muttering under his breath. When we asked him what he was doing, he told us he was tracing that driver's ancestry  back one unmarried generation after another.

Daddy had a tendentcy to snap your elastic or drop ice cubes down your front or back if the opportunity presented itself. When I had whirled around and caught him with an ice cube in his hand, he asked "Don't you trust me?" When I said no, he told me that I was letting my opinions be colored by facts.
"When I want your opinion I'll give it to you!"
  We lknew that if he was cursing in Italian or German it was time to settle down.He was just trying to NOT curse in front of little girls, so it got his inventive streak going.
  You are a very special lady and I hope that you come through the chemo with all those nasty little bugs zapped and gone for good.

My sister-in-law used to have a Gary Lawson screen saver that cycled few different scenes/ People were being lined up for doors that said "Damned if you do' and "Damned if you don't" which comes to mind frequently.
However my favorite was a line of convicts tunneling to freedom. Unfortunately their tunnel is just about to come up under a lake and the lead prisoner is saying "We're almost through! I can feel the rain on my face!" It then goes back to a different scene, but we all have days like those.
  My personal theory--and I haven't had anyone disagree with me yet--is that some weeks just have more Mondays than others. the furnace is acting up and we have company--but of course today actually IS Monday.

It's been a while since I've reviewed this board and stopped in to see how things are going.
Between Bnet's new platform change and changes within my personal life, it's made for some busy times that leaves for a lack of time on all fronts.
But since I have a few extra hours of free time, I figured I'd take some time out to check up on you all.

When I saw this thread awhile back, I felt it deserved to be a sticky "Community" thread because it was started with a tone & idea of friendship & caring that needs to stay in place by fostering a bond with the community's members.  But then all hell broke loose everywhere but there by the Grace of God go I.
This board was without a host for quite a bit so a community spirit-minded thread was never created and I'm glad that under the circumstances, BubbysMom started this thread.

So Community "Sticky" thread it shall be!
Now it will always be on top for easy access instead of having to play hide & seek with the thread.

And speaking of Bubbs, I'd like to know how things are going with her treatment?  It might be over just about now and I hope that all her scans have/are coming back all negative.

Karbie, those tidbits from your mom & dad are just too funny and they reminded me of my own parents comments.
