ets i don't know where MM got his figure from although it is one of those 'common knowledge' stats that most folks invovled in human rights issues was aware of.
but i can say that infant mortality WORLD WIDE not just in the developing world is quite distressing. And frequent. Note in all the stats the figures are for born children. http://www.unicef.org/sowc08/docs/sowc08.pdf http://www.who.int/healthinfo/statistic … index.html http://jpubhealth.oxfordjournals.org/cg … t/fdm009v1 imho morality would suggest that if improving social weflare, opportunites etc for the born improves not only born adults but also born childrens lives then it is also improving unborn lives and life opportunties .... we know this ot be true from previously shared WHO sources about abortion rates in germany, belgium and the netherlands .... imho those seeking to further restrict abortiosn are missing the path to a solution where EVERYONE invovled born and unborn alike are respected. imho. |
