AA, a religious program, has taken over the recovery industry. However there is an alternative that leaves religion out of their program. It is not anti-religious, it's just not part of the program. What they do need are people to lead the group meetings. You do not have to have ever been addicted to anything. I taught this program for 10 years and all I've ever been addicted to were cigarettes.
