Yes, becca, murder is SO inconvenient - for the victims, not the murderers!
Funny how the alternate to the DP is "warehousing" criminals - as if they are, indeed, backed-up factory orders.
In addition to my previous comments on this I'd also like to point out that at NO point did i alude to murder being no more than an inconvenience for anybody victim, society or murderer. And that I for one find this constant insinuation that anyone anti DP is pro murderers and anti victims to be sickening and degrading to not only anti DPers but those who are silly and immature enough to make such insinuations degrade themselves as well. So RML is there the remotest chance of you actually engaging in discussion? |
Greed, hatred, power, revenge, misery, you left out the most one of all JUSTICE!!!!, the rest have nothing to do with the death penalty. Neither is it negative thinking, rather a positive action to rid society of those who can not abide by it's most basic law. It should be carried out without any of those emotions you stated, but rather with cool conviction that justice is being served. It should only be carried out in the most extreme cases, and when absolutely no doubt exists as to the guilt
of the accused. In cases of premeditated murder, murder without remorse, there need not be any attempt at rehabilitation. The long drawn out process of endless appeals must be abolished and the penalty carried out. These murderers gave up whatever rights they had the moment they murdered. It is unfortunate about the pain their families must bare, but that pain sits squarely on the murderer and not on a society that is only carrying out what the law requires.
hey, pop over to the justice and revenge posts and define justice peace is.... daddywags |

hey,
one must define justice and revenge first all that i have seen from the dpers is revenge. no evidence that the dp works for the greater good, if it did then no one would kill. the dp is the easiest way out. it is sinking to the level of the killer, period. you can say that it is not, to justify it in your mind, but the results are the same. how sorrowful for the families of all the victims, yet, you blame the killers for your re-action to what they did? peace is the Light of the World... daddywags |
