Hello Everyone, I tried to look back at a few of the posts in the past few pages. There's been a lot going on! I'm still around, but haven't been on B'net in a long time. Family life has kept me busy. I spend more time doing cancer advocacy work and such things. Not so much time to play. RML sent me a message and that reminded me to get in touch. Glad she did. It was nice seeing posts from so many of you. I'll try to check back more often. Warm wishes to all of you! Chris

Hello, all. I've been MIA for a long while, and here is why. I was laid off in Feb. 2009 and therefore had no computer to use at lunch. Then, I decided to live on 2 islands in a local river for 6 months from April to October - boat access only and NO computers. Then, in January of this year, I was in a serious one-car accident (headon into large tree) that left me seriously injured. I still am on crutches due to shattered kneecap and leg fractures - will never walk right again - but thank heaven I am still alive. Today I bought a laptop, so I will be around again. Hope to talk to those of you whom I got to know here. Blessings to all of you, RML

YAAAAYYY!!!! Congratulations Blue!! From one Aunt to another, spoil the snot out of him/her. The nice thing is that after you are done, they go home to their parents & you can go to sleep!!!!!
I am just checking in to say that I am still out here kicking. It was tougher than I thought & it took a lot out of me, but it is finally over & I am cautiously saying that I am once again, cancer free. When I am up to it, I will be back here debating like crazy.

Woohoo!!!! Was thinking about you a few days ago (probably about the time you posted this) and was wondering how you were doing. That is great news. We are all here and you have been missed. Justme

Jodi It's good to see you around again! I haven't wanted to bother you, but you have sure been in my prayers. My youngest nephew likes the way I think-- I've told him that since I don't get to see him as often as I'd like, I get to spoil him rotten when I do. The first time I told him that , his eyes got huge and he said "It sounds like a plan to me!" I was careful never to give my sister's kids anything extremely noisy....but messy wasn't a problem. Enjoy!

News: My brother and sister-in-law called this morning to announce that she is 3 months pregnant. Yaaaayyyy! I get to be a crazy auntie! I will take my niece/nephew to museums and state parks and catch bugs with them and buy them extravagent gifts that are difficult for my brother to assemble. This will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family - you can imagine how spoiled he/she is going to turn out.

This is definitley the time of year when you have to love Arizona. The part I live in has been in the low 60's I'm loving it after a cold snowy winter (by our standars) It's finally good weather for day trips and hiking. friday me and my boyfriend are taking a trip to Jerome, this amazing little old mining town precariously built on the mountain side...it has amazing views and a lot of history, in Arizona things from the mid 1800's constitute history.
All of the sentinel nodes were clear. I will be going back to the doctor Tuesday to discuss my next move. That will most likely be a couple of rounds of chemo, but no radiation. I will just be glad when this is finally over. I have the feeling however, that until I am breastless, it will never really be over.....
So some good news!!!! That is wonderful, but I understand that it probably feels like you are constantly waiting for the *other shoe to drop*. I guess that only you can make the decisions that lie ahead of you. You remain in my prayers.
