Everybody brainwashes kids.  Parents, schools, TV, books.  Can't help it, kids will learn from something.

Of course, it's only called brainwashing if you don't particularly like what they are being taught.

Even worse--he was GREEN !!!

He's involved in an inter-species relationship with a girlfriend who is not only a pig, but a ham.

He surrounds himself with weirdos, and one of them is an alien--a space alien. Since I'm not aware of Gonzo ever getting a green card, the Muppets have been harboring an illegal alien for decades.

Of course, The Muppet Show was filmed in the U.K., so Gonzo wouldn't have needed one there.

When Jerry Springer was interviewed several years ago about the content of his show, he said that while the show may have his name on it, he doesn't own the show or have artistic control. Oprah owns her show, her network, and anything else she wants. Dr.Phil bought his show from her after 3 years. Springer knew that if he didn't do the shows that got ratings, then he'd be out of a job.

It's just so funny that Fox could accuse anyone else of brainwashing. Of course Fox doesn't brainwash, or distort.  It's just that the only green they understand is money.

We have to remind ourselves that Murdock's Fox and some of his other holdings, are having the last laugh-- all the way to the bank.  They probably took a lesson from the Jerry Springer Show, which was going to be dropped until they went to the confrontational format, and that sells well as we've seen.  They also know that they don't have to appeal to the majority, and like the National Enquirer is to "fine" journalism, all they have to do is to carve out their niche.  How do they do that?  By making mountains out of mole-hills and controversy where there's no serious controversy, and then top it off with off-the-wall rants against those evil and ignorant "leftists".

It's working, and it is now, along with Limbaugh, the driving force in the Republican Party, and please don't doubt that for one second.

>>>>>>> Murdock is a complex man. He makes money by hyper-patriotic slogans in the US and owns a lot of news/media outlets that, badmouths US as well. His networks (Most of the time unfairly) attacks Arab nations and he has a Saudi prince as a business partnet.

Murdock's media outlets cater to conservative Christians. On the other hand he owns print and media outlets that, sells what most people considers as soft porn.

At the end of the day, it is all about money. $$$

I understand that next week, Mr. Bolling will issue a similar denouncement, appropriate at this time of year, of the movie classic It's A Wonderful Life, based on its portrayal of the dastardly wealthy banker Mr. Potter.

Why am I not surprised? Maybe because it's because Fox has also attacked SpongeBob SquarePants Link 1 and Sesame Street. Link 2

Good thing the Teletubbies aren't still on, or they'd be after poor Tinky-Winky for being gay.

DotNotinOz,
Oh my we are thinking alike.. I had this same thought before I opened the thread.  Surprised

I really think shows like Teletubbies are teaching the younger generation, including my almost 15 year old grand-son who I watched the show with.......we are not alone!  I still have the Teletubbies toys, and had one out when my 2 year old grand-son was here for Thanksgiving week-end.

Back in my day it was Superman.  Today there are lots of different space aliens on children's programing.

On topic:  Nothing Fox News does suprises me!  Money Mouth

Starving Muppets???  I didn't know puppets needed food myself.  The reality is this is a slam on PBS!

We need class warfare against the rich. I'm all in favor of Tex Richman. We should also have a muppet villain who is a corrupt congressperson.

The top 5% of Americans are sitting on $40 trillion in wealth. We need to take it from them.

It all depends on how you define rich. I have no problem with founders of successful corporations rewarding themselves. What really annoys me  are the CEO's who had nothing to do with creating wealth. They are nothing but overpaid employees.

A lot of these people got rich simply by investing in stocks or by buying assets and commodities that rose in value. They didn't do any REAL work for them.

Then you have the bastards who get golden parachutes whether or not they did anything good for their companies.

Some have gotten rich by being deeply involved in businesses. Those people should get to keep their money.

Therefore, we need to tax those who didn't do any work for their money. That's my platform for 2012. Who's in?
