So much music, I could never narrow it down enough to tell you who my favorite musician(s) are --- it really depends upon my mood, but there a a few standouts for soothing the spirit and easing a broken heart. After my first true heart break, I thought I would die from the pain but listening to Mystery Walk- by Joe Taylor renewed my hope in the worthiness of humanity. When I lived in Portland, Oregon there was a fella by the name of Paul Owens who set up an upright piano along the Waterfront at Saturday Market. Incredible music transferred from his fingertips to the piano. His music was so beautiful, so spirited I didn't even mind the fact that I didn't see a bit of sunshine for weeks at a time, nor did I mind his preachy Christian lyrics because I was able to tune them out and admire the MUSIC. Let's see... nearly anything by Dave Sanborn will uplift a darkness and I don't even have to ignore any insipid lyrics because his saxaphone is the only voice.

Music does soothe and I find that after a hard day of Teaching school with kids--that I turn on my favorite gospel station it helps to restore and refresh me. I also listen to Praise and Worship and sometimes the old Hymns. Generally most of what I listen to is Christian music and a little jazz, it has to be positive and uplifting.

A couple of other New Age musicians I like are Nicholas Gunn and Loren Gold. Loren Gold toured with Dancing w/ the Stars this summer and also tours with a couple of rock bands when he is not playing his own New Age music. He played keyboard for both. Medwyn Goodall is comng out with a new Cd. very soon. It will be his fourth or fifth in a series all titled Medicine Woman. I have a My Space and he is one of my friends on their. We are given a free music players on My Space and he offers me free down loads of his music that isn't on his My Space and I have gotten to listen to some of his newer music. It is truly beautiful.

Music is God's shadow washing over me on a hot day. What calms me the most is modern American-style music with artful lyrics---from Rock to Blues to R & B and straight on down the line.

I enjoy New Age Music. Not just any. I like the husband & wife group 2002, David Arkenstone, and my most favorite Medwyn Goodall. His music can give me a lift or help relax me when I have had a stressful day.

Evenesence, something about her soulful voice makes me feel good deep inside. It has a little rock-n-roll in it. What takes me back to my roots though....is 'The Carpenters' We've only just begun!
