What music calms you down and refreshes your soul?

When we're talking about music genres, I'd say country music. It makes me feel relaxed. Every morning when we go to school, we get fetched by our uncle in a pick up truck and hear country music on the radio (since my uncle loves country music). It has been a tradition that we ride to school while listening to country music. Country songs are not too emotive nor too noisy. It's just right. Sometimes we would sing along to the lyrics. The lyrics are really soothing too because they talk about life in the farm or in the country or anything simple like that.

And then when I would have an awful day at school, we get fetched by the pick up truck again and country music would be playing, then I would forget my worries and all the problems I had during the day.

Hello

While I do enjoy listening to music and often find it spiritually refreshing, a central engine to my spirituality is the crafting and creating of music itself.

The act and process of creating music somehow opens a line of communion with God. An instrument that has become core to that communion is the Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo. It is fascinating that a simple naturally-created wooden tube, be a catalyst for my faith!

Its my hope that, perhaps, my music becomes soul-refreshing to listeners.

I'll post some examples to my profile.

With respects

Karl

Edit: I see we can no longer upload mp3 files. Will this change? I hope so... Until such a time, I'll not be able to upload any of my music to Bnet (sigh)
