I'm still in shock, I can't beleive it.
He has been part of my life since I was a little kid.
I remember watching American Bandstand 5 days a week @ 5:00PM on ABC.

Then they only showed it on Saturdays.
But we were still priveledged to hear new artists & great music.

Ryan Seacrest will be picking up Dick's mantle and keeping the
music alive and Dick's memory alive.
Dick's legacy is in very capable hands. he's going to do great things!!

WONDERFUL GLAD TO SEE THAT AS WELL. You know he was responsible for bringing the races together exposing white America to msic from all the racex. Id be interested in looking at THE beatles THE stones and Elvis performances on American Bandstand

POKER LEGEND DIES AT THE AGE OF 83,WON THE 1972 WORLD SERIES OF POKER

Amarillo Slim,aka Thomas Preston jr. died at the age of 83 on Sunday.

He died at the Baptist Saint Anthony Hospice on Sunday morning.

Thomas Peterson Jr. was born on December 31,1928 in Johnson,Ark.
In 1972 he won the World Series of Poker,collecting a sum of $60,000.00

In those days it was alot of money~ now a day that would be considered

millions of dollars

One of the best poker films is "Rounders" with Matt Damon,Edward norton,
Gretchen Moll,Tom Courtney,Martin Landau,John Turturro & John Malkovitch

Pro football player Junior Seau was found dead earlier today.


It's believed that the gunshot wound may have been self-inflicted.

Leading lady Patricia Medina has passed away.


No cause was given, but she was reportedly in poor health and residing at a respiratory hospital at the time.

Maurice bernard Sendak, who did the wonderful drawings for the book
"Where the Wild Things Are" has passed at the age of 83.
