If anyone has wondered as to what happened to me and why I didn't post for a while.
My computer has been out of service due to a serious crash.
I just got it back on Monday evening.
It had been in my computer tech's house.
He had to reformat my hard drive.

I wish that anyone who hears of a Celebrity Death to please post them here
on the Noted Passing's thread.

Mark Odem Hatfield, Former Republician Senator from Oregon has died at the age of 89.
No cause of death was give,though it is said he suffered from a long illness.
Mr. Hatfield served in the Senate from 1967-1997.

Two Rock n' Roll songwriting Legends have passed


Jerry Leiber,part of the writing team of "Leiber & Stoller" has died at the age of 78.
He passed away from complications from Cardio/pulmony disease.
The writing team was formed in 1950,when Jerry Leiber was still in Fairfax High School
in Los Angles, and Mr. Stoller was in his freshman year at City College in Los Angles.
They wrote "Hound Dog" for Elvis Presley in 1952.

Jerry Leiber was born on  April 25,1933 in Baltimore,maryland.

Nick Ashford, the lanky half of "Ashford & Simpson" has died from throat cancer at 70.
He was part of a Motown wriitng legendary team with his wife Valerie Simpson.
They wrote songs for Marvin Gaye,Diana Ross, Chaka Kahn and many other Motown artists.

They were married for 38 years, and they have two daughters.
Nickolas Ashford, was 6'2" and he was born on May 4th 1942 in Fairfield,South Carolina.
He and his wife were inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2002.

Actor who starred in "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" dies at age of 39.

Andy Whitfield, the  star of the Starz mini series "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" a show based
upon the 1960's Kirk Douglas film has died after an eigtheen month struggle with
Non Hodkins Lymphoma. He was only 39 years old.

Mr. Whitfield was diagnosed last year and all of his fans hoped that he would beat the disease.

Eldest child of Senator Edward M.Kennedy passes at 51

Kara Kenndy Alllen, eldest child of Senator Edward M. Kennedy & Joan Kennedy has died
of a brain tumor.  Kara had battled lung cancer before, and her brothers Patrick & Teddy
have both had their own struggles with the disease.
Teddy Jr. lost his leg to a bout of bone cancer when he was a child.
Patrick had a non-cancerous tumor removed from his spine in2003.
