Hindu Philosophy believes that the Human Body has several 'layers'.... the annaymaya kosh, pranamaya kosh, manomaya kosh, vidnyanamaya kosh and the anandmaya kosh.

But more importantly, Ayurveda (which is part of Hindu Philosophy) describes an Outer (gross, visible) body and an Inner body (which is one's true Self).

This Inner Self is linked to the Outer Self during life on earth, through the various 'nadis' described in Yoga.

The Inner Self breaks away and separates from the Outer Self, when death occurs. The Inner Self then lives in other realms, until it is time for it to be re-born on earth.

Re-birth happens accroding to the Law of Karma.

The ultimate aim of Existence is to become free from the cycle of birth and death and re-birth, and to exist in one's pure state, as the Soul or Atman.

I agree. Changing physical forms is to the soul something like putting on a daily change of clothes.

That which is born is subject to death. The soul which is the true self is neither born or subject to death.

I find it important to try and remember that the soul is not just some abstract concept to be believed in or not believed in. We don't have an eternal soul, we ARE the eternal soul.

Reincarnation is considered the natural way of the universe. Energy is never created or destroyed, it just becomes manifested at a certain time and unmanifested at a certain time. This happens in a endless cycle. The same conditions that apply to the great ( universe ) applies to the all bodies in the universe as well. We actually change bodies in our  lifetime, the body you have as an adult is more taller, heavier, and developed both physically and mentally then when you were a child, hence, you have changed bodies. There is not a single cell in your body now that was there 7 years ago. Your body goes through a rejuvenation every 7 years. Recycling is just a natural part of nature. When the soul comes into contact with nature it follows it 's dictate.
