Thanks Dreamweever2, just had to post with this subject after all the experiences we have had. It's amazing, but I believe they get through to us somehow

I do too. I'm still learning about those ways, and about what comes to me. I had a dream about my ex father in law the night before he was hospitalized. I found the dream disturbing, and posted it on the dream forum. It was later in the day that I was called about him being taken to the hospital. He was in for about 3 weeks. Two days after he was discharged, he passed away at home. The dream was preparing me for all of it. That's something else that was new to me, or at least new to my awareness. So much to learn, and I'm grateful to have found this site because it's really helped me a lot on my path.

Would you like to share some of your experiences? I'd be interested to hear about them if you like.

There are many, and not just with my daughter. I can feel her around me at different times. It's a comforting feeling. Have also had warnings like you describe. Had a very bad feeling about 3 days before Carol died. Had an insistant feeling that we needed to take a picture of my 96 yr old grandma holding my son. Never got to do it, as shortly afterward got a call from my mom that she had passed.Had a very dark feeling driving my mom to the hospital on my dad's last trip there. When we got there he had already passed. My mother was due to go in for a surgery at 85, and I think we both had a feeling she wouldn't be coming home. The day we passed, all of us had been able to visit her beforehand and talk to her. She and my daughter were VERY close, and that day I was there by myself, but mom insisted Carol was there with me.After mom passed Carol and I both smelled her cologne at the same time one night about a week later. A rose bush which never got flowers while she was alive got ONE rose on the top the next summer after she died. It continued to do that each year until Carol died, that summer it had TWO on the same thick stem. Carol has given me many signs. One was up in the U.P. of MI on a rock beach along Lake Superior (1 of the many) there was a rock with calcifications in the definite shape of a bunny (she was into bunnies for MANY years) leaning on my purse. No one up there had ever seen anything like that. Why THAT beach on THAT day at THAT  particular time. Even my skeptic engineer hubby cannot scientifically "de-bunk" that one.

Wow Hamstermom, you have had a lot of experiences. I appreciate you posting them. I find them very interesting. I suspect that I've had some that I've missed. The times that I've had someone close pass, I tend to take it pretty hard. It's usually a long time before I'm able to look at pictures of them again, or let down the wall I put up for emotional protection pertaining to their death.

There's a show that comes on A & E, and also on Biography channel, called Celebrity Ghost Stories. They just had one on about a guy from a rock band, whose brother in law had been murdered. He was telling the story, and said that his wife had been seeing things that had been happening as signs from her brother. He referred to himself as having been "ridiculously sceptical". I liked that term. After he saw enough stuff happen, he dropped that stance and started helping his wife. It's hard to be around people like that because you know you aren't crazy, and you know you aren't going to be believed, and end up being debated against. When I know someone doesn't believe the things that go on, I don't share them with that person. My brother is a good example of that. I know talking to him about anything paranormal will only make me regret the discussion.

My husband is like you, sort of shuts down emotionally. He is an engineer, and tries to de bunk everything. Used to drive my daughter nuts, as she and I believed and had signs. It would be like her to send one when he was there that he couldn't de bunk. He asked once why he didn;t get any signs, as he would like to. I told him one has to be open to that and not have your brain explain it all away.  That rock is truly my gift from my daughter.

I think with me, I'm finally getting past the pain from the losses, and to an extent the fear enough to be more open. I think part of the fear stems from having something going on in my house. That had been going on for years, and I have no idea who it is. I know that things have been knocked over for no reason, once a yard stick that was on top of my refrigerator flipped off and hit my ex. Another time a thick heavy duty cord that used to run around near my ceiling in the kitchen to our old air conditioner flew off of the wall and also hit him. I have seen things move with no one near them....no explaination. Then later, after my ex sister in law had passed away, I watched the football she had given my son for Christmas a week before she died, roll end over end about 4 feet across the carpet in the livingroom. That time I knew it was her. There have been 2 times that I have seen a young girl here in the house, and I have no idea who she is, or why she is here. There have been quite a few bad things that have happened here. After the house burned and was rebuilt, I was hoping that the activity would stop, but instead it was the beginning of the string of misfortunes/bad things that went on. It doesn't seem to have the same strength these days as it once did though.

Wow! Sounds really strange. Don't know as it's good to have spirits in your home that mean harm. Thought of having  the house blessed or the spirits exorcised?

I have a blessed Benedictine medal that I keep here now. It has an exorcrism prayer on the back of it. My mother had gotten it for me from her priest. Right now my brother is staying here with my sons and I. He will be moving out soon. He does not believe in anything in spiritual activity. After he moves, I'm planning to use a sage smudge stick all through the house. That's something that's never been done here before to my knowledge. I've lived in this house for 21 years now, and it burnt almost 10 years ago. After the house was rebuilt, things got pretty bad here. These days, I can't really tell if much is going on because there's been too much tension here to notice. I'm hoping that will change after my brother is able to get moved.

Auditory hallucinations are quite common . It doesn't mean a person is crazy . The odd time I hear my name when no one is around . I did speak to my doctor about that and he has no concerns because it is not something that goes on all day long . If it did that would mean more than likely that it is a chemical imbalance .

When my father-in-law passed it really bothered me that he seemed to be watching me all the time . From my theological background that means he needed spiritual help . I had a Mass said for him and  I never felt after that he was watching me .  When I die I would like people to pray for me .  Marie
