When you kiss your spouse hello/goodbye at the airport/train or bus station, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". When YOU talk about what you and your spouse did on the weekend, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". When YOU show pictures of your children to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". When YOU hold hands walking down the street with your beloved, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". When YOU claim health-care benefits for your spouse and children under your workplace's benefits plan, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". When YOU claim pensions, inheritances, end-of-life decision-making for/from your spouse, you're 'displaying family values'; when gays do it, we're "throwing it on [your] face". Et friggin cetera. Get yourself a clue. |

And, yes, a game of Scrabble is far more rewarding. Especially when you win.

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

Actually, that is the reason I left homophobia behind. I remember walking downtown one day holding my husband's hand. It just felt so good feeling my hand in his. And it suddenly hit me that I was denying others that simple joy. I was not treating others as I wanted to be treated.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard was not what I meant...

Where it will die the same ignominious death other discussions of gay people go to die.
Sigh. |

Seems like I was right (again).
This is the third "moved" thread that I have shown that once it gets "moved" here, NO ONE participates anymore.
Dear moderators, Homosexuality is STILL news in America, and still a Hot Topic. PLEASE leave discussions in those threads. NO ONE comes here to continue discussing once you "move" them here. Can you not see that this is true?
Yous sincerely. DUO. |

DUO, when there is a new hot topic, start a new thread. Threads get moved to politics, family, marriage, etc, when the threads are no longer active.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard was not what I meant...
