Sheesh!

I find it telling that the ex-wife’s attorney supported this ruling.  She claims this is common yet cannot cite a single case where such a ruling was made.  She must be some kind of lawyer to be so sure about something yet have nothing to back her assertion. If she had any integrity or interest in the well-being of the kids, she would have objected to this ruling.

Glad Mr. Flowers is appealing this.

I hope this judge is due to retire soon.  Real soon.

Irene.

Actually, I wish he'd be removed from the bench. Someone this hateful, should be removed by force IMO, to make the statement that this type of judicial behavior will not be tolerated. Although, I don't think this is a likely outcome in TX.

Does this mean they can't go to school?  There are plenty of male teachers, and I would think that having two dozen other children wouldn't count. I would think the courts would still see that as leaving the children alone with a male who is not a relative.

This is an excellent point, I hope this man's lawyers think of it.

It means he can't hire a babysitter who is male, a nanny, a teacher, even a doctor, or nurse. he would not even be allow to let his child be in alone in the presence of a police officer or fire"man"

Not to mention if his pastor is male he couldn't leave the boy with him either. Nor could he leave him with the "Hon." Judge Charley Pride. It's almost beyond belief that an Associate Judge in a Family Court could be so ignorant.

This is beyond ignorance. This is downright stupidity. This is a case of a person, who hates GLBTs so much it overrides what he KNOWS (the law) it allows him to make an order so broad it makes absolutely NO LEGAL SENSE whatsoever and could only possibly be defended by someone else who also holds on to this much hate.

Excellent point Irene

Dark Energy. It can be found in the observable Universe. Found in ratios of 75% more than any other substance. Dark Energy. It can be found in religious extremists, in cheerleaders. To come to the conclusion that Dark signifies mean and malevolent would define 75% of the Universe as an evil force. Alternatively, to think that some cheerleaders don't have razors in their snatch is to be foolishly unarmed.

"want to live" there? Stuck living there, perhaps.

That's an odd thing to do, considering your 'statistic' ("Texas leads the nation on gay headed families with children"). ALL of those myriad families have absolutely NO legal protections for those children - because of Texas's antedeluvian policies. The parents have NO legal rights. Their children get NONE of the legal benefits that children of betterosexual parents do. And you defend this? That figures.

What this judge did has NOTHING to do with "Christianity". It has a LOT to do with ignorance and hate, though.

This isn't about "Societ" anything. It's about America, the land of the not-so-FREE.

Why, because of 'good Christian principles' that he seems to be upholding.

Why, because Texas is a backward-lovin' State.

Gosh, GC, there's SOOO MANY reasons. Ask your fellow "Christians".
