The whole thing is outrageous and reveals once again-that only the most shallow of philosophies or religions teach to consume yourself with concern about what OTHERS do.  This person did no harm to anyone by changing her sex-so why would someone care so much to become enraged by this, so much so that they compromised ethics they swore to and got themselves fired (resignation is just a dishonest term for "fired").

These are the people I find to be an "abomination", they are the lowest of human beings.  We are here to improve ourselves and chase happiness and overcome the obstacles presented by our own minds.  Many people forget their role as human beings and instead try to fix others.  They are wasting their time on this planet and may die in a lesser state than they began!

There is nothing "unnatural" about homosexuality.  And ideas like that it is a sickness (as Mormons would describe it) or a perversion (as other christians describe it) is self serving and below a human being.  It also reveals that these folks have never taken the time to get to know a gay person.  If they had-they'd quickly know it is NOT a choice, this is who they are, how they are wired-no different than a heterosexual person who cannot help but be attracted to members of the opposite sex.

And on this topic of "normal", I would say "No, homosexuals are not normal."  I say this as I believe "normal" means "majority".  They are a minority for sure.  So the real question becomes "Is abnormal okay?"  I would argue that there is no wrongness in the concept of minority.  English is the most spoken language on the planet I believe, does that make it the best?  Certainly not, it is one of the most inefficient languages there is.  So it is clear that being a minority or a minority "behavior" is not "wrong" by its own accord.

These absolutes that low, shallow teachings like christianity teach reveal major problems in the roots of these philosophies.  The truth is that no act has a value by and of itself.  What matters is what is behind an act-what motivates an act.  In this regard, homosexual sex would be "judged" the same way that heterosexual sex would-by the heart of the practitioner, not by the act.

Christianity (and to a lesser degree the other Abrahamic religions) has held back humanity for centuries and this century is no different.

I do not believe that homosexuality is a normal behaviour that should be publicly accepted in society, but I would like to hear your view on why it is and why it should be.

What does being transgender have to do with homosexuality? Stay on topic and stop damning people for birth defects.

While hammers fell like ringing bells

They shaped and wrought, and light they caught
To hide in gems on hilt of sword.

Please, Bob, enlighten us. How has Judaism held back humanity? Give me examples and outlines, by all means. Inquiring minds want to know how Jews have ruined life more than we're already accused of.

Don't they all?

I do hope you're specifying fundamentalists there.
