mtm, there you go again with the "disorder". Are you stuck in the '70's?
Following controversy and protests from gay activists at APA annual conferences from 1970 to 1973, as well as the emergence of new data from researchers such as Alfred Kinsey and Evelyn Hooker, the seventh printing of the DSM-II, in 1974, no longer listed homosexuality as a category of disorder.
Note: DSM-IV is now published with DSM - V due to come out in 2013
Psychiatric Diagnoses are categorized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th. Edition. Better known as the DSM-IV, the manual is published by the American Psychiatric Association and covers all mental health disorders for both children and adults. It also lists known causes of these disorders, statistics in terms of gender, age at onset, and prognosis as well as some research concerning the optimal treatment approaches.
I have given MtM that same evidence on more than one occasion over the years... He disregards it as...
The great Mouse, "I will note only that any counter-arguments I've gotten in return were weak, predictable and couched in contemporary pop "science."
I've provided arguments to support my position, Rex.
I agree.
You've provided arguments, but you haven't provided a single shred of evidence to support your arguments.
Not anything you would agree with, or I would expect you to agree with.
This is all a fine and dandy attempt at pretending you've provided evidence, mouse.
Provide evidence to support your stupid claims.
I will note only that any counter-arguments I've gotten in return were weak, predictable and couched in contemporary pop "science."
I've not seen anyone provide you with a counter argument. What I have seen is loads of data, scientific study and research, and mounds of personal experience that counter your claim. In other words, there's boatloads of evidence on the table that completely counter your argument...there's no evidence on the table supporting your argument.
The basic facts regarding the actual subject of this thread still stand. Virtually everybody who has posted here agrees on two things:
1: There is no evidence that Hitler had this supposed phantom "gay army," and even bringing such a thing up is stupid and has nothing whatsoever to do with the current issue of gays in the U.S. military
2: It's long past time for DADT to be repealed and for gays to serve openly in the U.S. military.
