Beliefnet, in addition to making changes to the home page, has some new changes coming as well. We will have a central place to find the best community discussions, groups, photos, blogs, videos, and more in our areas of interest. The links aren't ready to go yet, but be prepared. :)

I don't see how these new pages are an improvement over what we have had. If anything, it seems that if I start from there, I am one more click away from the forums.
There are some improvements in the interface that we have had the last, what was it, two years, but it seem to me that the level of vigorous theological debate on the forums has diminished significantly. I think that part of that was that people had learned which forums in the old structure discussed the topics they were interested, and the structure of the forums was changed in the interface change. Plus it seemed to be trying to move toward social networking and away from serious discussion. I can go to facebook for social networking. Beliefnet is my online venue for theological debate. |
