You know as a homosexual who is about to get married to my soulmate. I have heard these bible versus over and over again. The funny part though is its usually after I ask someone where in the bible it says that "Jesus hates fags." Once they are finished dribbling out these overly used quotes I always point out that those are not quotes from Jesus, those are quotes from other stories in the bible. I do not believe in the bible, i find it overly hypocritical, sexist and otherwise a silly book that talks of stupid ancient customs that most of us are glad we no longer practice. I do however believe in the teachings of Jesus and only of Jesus. He spoke not one word aginst homosexuals, because he was trying to get people to love each other and not kill one another over petty differences. I like how every "God fearing", "Bible obeying" christian can look over eating fish on sundays but they just have to keep marriage from the gays. I guess in this day in age you get to pick and choose which traditions are worth it and which are not. Its sad that most christians would rather fight against love than the eating of fish on a sabbath day. As ghandi once said "I do not hate your Christ, I love your Christ, the only problem I have is so many of you 'Christians' are so unlike your Christ." |

The Bible remains silent on gay marriage. I've been on a journey to nowhere... If my faith isn't leading me inward, then my faith is leading me astray. |

Yep. Leviticus refers to temple prostitutes and only applies to the ancient Hebrews who were not all of One Faith, nor one ethnicity, all were slaves and had to do what their masters told them what and how to do.
