I haven't gotten a call yet. Don't really expect one, because my number isn't listed anywhere. Also, the article indicates one of the key target areas is Laramie. Wyoming is a big damn state -- in terms of area, anyway -- and I'm a long way from Laramie.

But anyway, on the off chance I do get a call, not sure what I'd say. Probably something along the lines of "I see the secular, legal aspect of marriage and the religious signifigance of it as two different things -- so legal gay marriage really doesn't make any difference to me."

Difficult to say. I've lived in Wyoming for about only 5 years, and was pretty unfamiliar with the state, except for the 1-80 corridor (which I've driven about a million and three times) prior to that.

Before Wyoming, I lived in Idaho for eight years and Montana for over 20. Of the three, I would say Montana can be the most liberal -- depending upon the region -- Idaho is the most conservative (in the contemporary sense of the word "conservative") whereas Wyoming tends to be more old fashioned. Old fashioned in the sense that folks don't care so much who you are and what you do, so long as you treat other well and mind your own business.

I would say they are quite neo-conservative in their politics and fundamentalist in their theology -- neither of which I agree with. I would not, however, say they are hateful. And I'm not resentful of them trying to lobby for what they think it right, any more than I resent GLADD or PFLAG lobbying for what they think is right.

Can you provide any evidence to indicate FOF is deliberately hateful?

Anectocal letters and "reports" from clearly biased sources don't add up to what I would consider objective evidence. I hear and read right-wingers making simlar claims about left-wing organizations and putting forth similar "evidence" of how they threaten me, society and the country.

I was hoping for something more along the lines of an FBI report outlining how FOF displays characteristics of a dangerous hate group, or otherwise potentially damaging radical agenda.
