You know in the music of The Doors the idea of making love to the music more or less is sort of suggested in some of the songs and the idea of the music being so sexual, its always been out there more or less in seductive music, in the suggestiveness of music.
I dont think Ive ever come across it being spoken about out right though. Im getting the new album from New Kids On the Block, The Block. Supposedly one of the songs I listened to Single has the guys talking to the fans saying outright are you single tonight can i be your boyfriend tonight? In other words their just saying plainly go ahead and fantasize about NKOTB which i think is cool, its perfectly ingenius in my mind. Im not sure Ive heard or been seduced by any other band though sense I listened to The Doors that is and my old Christians musical groups at church that were plenty seductive at seducing people into church, Im not sure Ive been quite so seduced as I have been here lately with NKOTB. So Im bringing up the topic of music and sex, and seduction through music, and fantasy through music as a topic to see if anyone has an opinion on it. I just think its interesting the use of music. |

So the sexual energy in NKOTB is great, its good, so do you use music to make love to to fantasize to or what if so what do you use what makes music more or less sexualized.
Do you use music with sexually explicit lyrics. some of NKOTbs music is sexually explicit, Im not use to it so I was a little out of it when I posted this but sexualized music with sexually explicit lyrics are typical these days so do you use sexually explicit lyrics in songs more or just romance or what? what about teh idea of making love to the music. |

I would be uncomfortable making love to music with sexually explicit lyrics- I think it would make me giggle, rather than be a turn-on.
The sorts of music that I and my partner prefer for this are instrumentals, usually something without percussion, that still has a consistent rhythm. |

NKOTB are about as erotic as Mr. Rogers, if you ask me.. but oh well, to each their own. You want sexually charged? Try James Brown or Prince... LOL. Or Garbage.. Shirley Manson practically drips slinky sexuality, IMO. Yum, yum...
At any rate, music has almost always been infused with sexual energy. Themes of love, lust and romance are common throughout all forms of music. |

You want sexually charged music?. . . The Supreme Beings Of Leisure: "Never the Same", and "Strangelove Addiction" and "Mirror" nor do they always have to address sexuality specifically there is jus s sensuality to their music.

Try the songs "Warm Regards" by Steve Vai, "Europa" by Santana, or "One More Time" or "Underneath the Stars" by The Cure if you like slow romantic kinds of songs.
Personally, I've never found music that has turned me on, only music I found romantic. In any case, music during sex would distract me :) |

There was a Doors concert on PBS last Sunday. I watched it, found a Doors cd and played it. Riders On the Storm is one of my favorite Doors pieces. Other Doors songs that can be sexual are Back Door Man, Light My Fire & Break On Through To The Other Side.

I definitely believe that music can gave very seducing qualities. It has no been once that I have learned to find a musician of the opposite sex attractive due to her vocal/instrumental talent rather than (purely) on physical appearance. |
