The new plasma cost more.   the sony was 875 and the Panasonic plasma, same size was $1400.  I am not sure plasma is out because the new plasma has better picture.   I think it is still neck and neck.

I keep reading that about Sony but in the store, the skin colors of people on the Sony set were more natural.  The Samsung looked "off."  Also, I do notice that the Sony tv in the stores now is not the one rated by Consumer Reports.   Plus, it is $300 cheapers.  It is kind of a hard decision.

I really want a Panasonic Plasma because they last 100,000 hours now.  I do mean their new series of Plasma tvs--not the old ones.

panasonic is ace for plasma. but plasma is on the way out. on the other hand, that means they're doing the best pricing.

i wouldn't judge picture quality by what you see on the in-store display models. the displays are used and abused. what you'll bring home won't look like anything you've seen.

I may be buying either a Samsung 40 inch LCD or Sony 40 inch LCD this week.  I already bought an antenna.  If I don't buy something, I may end up in the dark.   I may end up with a 22 inch.  However, the prices have come down so much on the 40 inches that I am seriously thinking about it.

Half BF does get some points for this! Glad that your golddigger status has risen.  I was getting a bit depressed about it. LOL

yes, my pathetic abilities were really getting quite worrisome, weren't they? i've clawed my way up to the level of cherry (that would be a girl coke freak, for y'all uninitiated) with a bedsit in a residence hotel. i will likely accidentally set the proverbial curtains on fire and burn my bedsit down, but hey!

go for a samsung. sony has fallen down on the HDTV thing.

i may have graduated from being a penny gold digger (dating a man for his cable t.v.) to a nickel gold digger! 1/2 b.f. got me a new 32" flat screen samsung LCD HDTV for my birthday.

yes. 1/2 b.f. rocks!

'course, he may be trying to lure me away from his cable. but then again, my new t.v. doesn't have movie USB 2.0 like his new 46" samsung LED HDTV. me and the dog will be sitting on his sofa watching costume dramas. he has to know that.
