To All Moms, Especially Single Moms:

You are the epitome of unselfish love on our planet.  Many of my girlfriends are single Moms.  I want to acknowledge all of you.

Although this poem is written from a Christian perspective, please feel free to substitute the deity closest to your heart.  I am a multi-faith person.

However I extend my gratitude to all Moms, of all religious tradtions.  I hope you sense my deepest of gratitude.

All of you are true blessings.  Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day

By Wendy Schuljan

Having a mother is a gift from God.

As she is the jewel of our lives.

Praying for her always to be happy and strong.

Praising God in total gratitude.

Yes, Mothers are very special!

Mother Mary is the example of blessed motherhood.

Oneness with God!  Oneness of heart.

Treasures beyond our dreams...The Mother of the Christ Child!

Heavenly serenity in knowing God is always with us.

Everlasting love that never fades.

Realizing we are more than gold in her eyes.

Spiritual beauty captured forever in our Mother's heart.

Delighting in God

Yes, mothers are the gentle handprints of God on our planet.

On Mother's Day give your Mom the greatest gift of all...

Your time and sincere gratitude.

Such jewels never tarnish and keep the soul alive!

Yes, mothers are the gentle handprints of God on our planet.

The sweet hugs of security.

Delighting in God's unselfish gift to us all...

Blessed Motherhood.

I Give You A Rose

I give you a rose from my heart in total gratitude.

I may not know your name...

But I know you are loved beyond words.

Single Mom's everywhere, you are the voices of universal love.

You comfort and your nourish the soul of children everywhere.

I give you a rose...

Thank You!

i heard something on the radio today. i guess they were a series of ads selling something, but they were very nice. they were how to identify "moms," and they acknowledged all the sorts of moms out there.

of course, humans are an alloparenting species. ie, the task of raising the young is shared with fathers and non-kin - which is not so usual amongst primates if i have that right. but there are more types out there. the spots also identified "pet moms" and so forth.

anyways, 1/2 b.f. (aka, *tall daddy* to lilypup the dog) "helped" lily get me a mother's day gift. a lily, of course, and a card.

Thank you Wendy, for the poem.  And for the Mother's day wishes!  Lamb, that's so sweet that Lily got you something for Mom's day!!!  I'll be spending the afternoon with my Mom and Dad, taking them to lunch and visiting.  Hope she likes the card and flowers I got her!

To every Mom out there, whether they be furbabies or biological babies, HAVE A GREAT MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing.  To all pet Moms, Happy Mother's Day, too.  Ladies, thank you for the reminder.

Don't laugh.  I bought a special Mother's Day card from the Cat to me and my co-worker.  We never had children, but our cats are dear to us.

As for my own Mom, it was the best Mother's Day ever.  I have such gratitude to my sister, Lisa, for giving me a beautiful niece.

The mother-child bond is beautiful and so is the mother-pet bond, too.  Just think of Mother Theresa. She has never had children but her patients in Calcultta were her adopted ones.

Mothering is about nurturing.  To all, God bless or should I say Goddess bless!
