My bro saves coins from his travels and gives them to me.  Cute story: while in the Philippines, he came into possession of an 1804 silver dollar.  Gave it to me without a second thought.  Here’s what the Wiki says about this coin: The 1804 Silver Dollar is a United States dollar coin considered to be one of the rarest and most famous coins in the world, due to its unique history.^{[citation needed]} Divided into "Classes," 15 specimens are known.

Not quite. What he gave me was a fake.

Phillipines is known as a source for such fakes.

How much of the world's reserves in gold does the US hold??? I haven't studied this in awhile. Do think this is not unimportant.

All I actually know about the US gold reserves is what I saw in the James Bond film Goldfinger. 

But I guess Ron Paul is worried about that:

I have no idea how much.  I don't think the U.S. Gold is in the U.S. but in Europe somewhere. Am having a hard time understanding just what it is you think not unimportant.  Need a little more info, if you care to share.

I haven''t studied this in sometime, but a substantial amount of gold is stored in the US.
