Hi Silverada:

Spanish
Your native language--in high school, I learned Latin and French.

buy a dog
Unfortunately pets trigger my contamination phobia!

excuse to go out and walk
I am too serious-minded.

What vegetable and fruits are tipical
I bought mandarins, apples, pears, and lettuce.

Silverada

I don´t consider lettuce a fruit

Neither do I; you had asked about "vegetable and fruits", so I listed a vegetable and fruit!

Guanabana
I haven't seen soursop at supermarkets here.

my country is a fruit paradise
Your photo gallery shows many beautiful scenes.

What make your country be polluted and dry?
It is at the horse latitudes, and populated beyond the capacity of its poor soil.

natural condition
Global warming is making this region warmer and drier!

caused by humans
Agricultural fertiliser, sewage and silt from construction, pollute local waterways.

Seriously
I am too serious.

expound the story
This was medically unfortunate. I was playing on a half-size court, with full-sized racquets. The match was doubles, and my partner was a gangling girl!

Are you from Tibet
My father was a Roman Christian--but was not from Italy

replaced your lost tooth
This was difficult. The accident was on a Sunday. The local hospital did not do dentistry. So my partner phoned around. And eventually she drove me to another town, where the dentist would work on a weekend.

I do feel extremely empathetic
I do not have this problem!

Silverada

Really?
You seem surprised, or express disbelief. Not everyone is like you.

sensible to others pains and feelings, It have happened to me, which is not always pleasant
Seeking pleasure is a sin!

Yes Spanish is my native language. English my second.  French I learned a little bit  in HS, only words, I can´t have a real French conversation with anyone, I wish I could,  I like how french language sounds, as well as Italian, which I understand much more because it have the same roots as Spanish..

buy a dog
Unfortunately pets trigger my contamination phobia!

Silverada

Not kidding? I thought man do not have any phobia.  I have some phobias, but not as serious as to control me  or make me go into uncontrolable episodes.  I avoid crowds and high, I am fear of mice, spiders and anything that crowl, and if I see a big dog coming toward me  I might suffer a  panic attack.   I know all that is completed insane, but I can´t help it and I just live with it and try as much as I can to make it look as a normal thing.  LOL

Guanabana

Hummm Guanabana is a typical fruit of my country, I have a tree in my back yard, is a very sweet fruit and I make delicious shakes with it. Above is a photo of that fruit. Is that the same as soursop?

It is as some one said "When in China a butterfly batter its wings at the other side of the earth a deadly and furious huracan is felt".  I think we all need to help in this matter and a global  effort is needed to stop  to  polution,  other wise our own survival is at stake.  I live in a Country where nature is treasured, but the actual generation do not care too much about, and our rivers are poluted and the trees of our national parks  are been ilegally cut for profit  which is   arising a lot of protests among conservationists.  Our politicians turn their faces to the other side, they are probably putting money in their pockets with the trees busuness.

I try consciously  to disconnect, so I might  feel more of myself and not as others.

People are to me, incomprehensible!

Silverada

I know what you mean.

So? Why do you crave pleasure?

Silverada

I just want to be as happy as I can, and  try to avoid drama in my life.

My late husband suffered that, as well as my daughter.  It havn´t been easy for me,  My relation with them was difficult and painful but I could maintain my integrity through out the whole ordeal , due to my happy disposition and positive attitude toward life, love and family.

Silverada

Perhaps it´s a non existing thing for you, but when someone harm another person intentionally that is an act of evil for me.  When some one care, show compassion and love  and is willing to help another person in distress that is an act of goodness.  Both acts are real as well as the persons doing the acts.  All people have the capacity to do evil as well as good, the Yin and Yan, light and darkness. What probably make the different is how people  balance good and evil within themselves in order to keep the equilibrium of those two forces, and make the right choice when needed.  Goodness some times means  sacrifices for the sake of others.  Evil is a non empathetic feeling toward others, harming others intentionally or showing indifferent in front of people suffering.

I don´t let anything to spoil in me the beauty of life enjoyment.
You never fix any difficult problems!

I do not recall ever having seen that fruit.

I can´t have a real French conversation
After two weeks in New Caledonia, I was speaking it without an accent!

Not kidding?

You assume that I am untruthful.

I thought man do not have any phobia.
Wrong: you do not understand psychology. Embarassed

I avoid crowds and high, I am fear of mice, spiders and anything that crowl, and if I see a big dog coming toward me  I might suffer a  panic attack.
You had previously claimed to not suffer anxiety. That was false!

insane, but I can´t help it

According to the encyclopaedia. I do not recall having seen it.

I am trying to cook an innovative kangaroo curry. So far, I have added chilli, ginger and garlic. Do you use asafoetida (hing)?

Good day Karma:

try as much as I can to make it look as a normal
How does your anxiety inhibit your living?

Silverada

Inhibitting? not at all, anxieties syntoms do not control me, those fears are like joyes, I laugh, when I see a mice, and run as far as I can from it.  I bought a few mice traps that once in l while caught them trying to enter the house from the back yard terrace. I felt sorry for those little and indefense creatures, but my fears and repulsion about them are bigger than my mice compassion heart. LOL

Other fear as height, dogs, etc. I can manage that well. There is big brigde that take me to the city from my neighbourhood, and some times a walk through it., I stop in the middle of it and look down to the river, it is scary, but I conquered in there my fears of height  Here is a photo I took from that bridge.

You mean kangaroo smell bad when you cooking it?  Jeeweez that is discussing.  You probably have a good stomach, God bless you.  LOL

huracan
I expect that you are familiar with tropical storms. I have read that they will become less frequent, but more intense!

Silverada

I do.  I experience in 1979 the most deadly and devatating huracan ever  passed by our country.  It was quite a memorable experience, which I do not want to have again for the rest of my life.  That was Andrew - the killer- huracan as it is called here.

nature is treasured
Here it is trashed: mined, and logged!

What do your goverment do to fix that?

Silverada

our rivers are poluted by garbage and industrial waste.  We have here a conservationist ministery which is trying to control all that, but I am not sure they do the job,  they suppose to do,  properly.

the trees of our national parks  are been ilegally cut
Yuck!

Silverada

That is a very sensible issue.  It is said that Haitians, which share the west part of this island with us,   are responsible for that.  They already had devastated their own country, and their  country condition and poverty  do not have comparison in this part of the hemisphere, they need carbon to cook and they do not have trees or money to buy natural gas, so they sneak into our country and cut trees from our national parks.  The thing is the authorities that control our frontier let them pass for money back and forth. The passing points are controled by militaries and there is not way for Hatians passing with cutted wood or carbon without been stopped by them.  Another way of corruption that is harming nature in here, and drying our sources of water.  It is not a non reversable crisis yet , but it will be if not stopped on time.  I feel sorry for hatians troubles, we have millions of them already  living in our terrotory without contributing to anything but doing cheap labor if they can find it.  They don´t have ID papers and ussually have their children been  born here in order to use our poor public education and health systems , adding more preasure and load   to it.   After this year devastating earthquake in Haiti much more hatians are  coming here  elegally, looking for releif to  their now dramatic situation.  So far there  a new president have been elected, and I hope the situation for them improve day by day.

politicians turn their faces
Why do the people not act?

Silverada

We have a congress which is elected every four years, now changed to six.  What they do there is a mistery to me, you only see them or hear them when    promoting congress elections, and they only legislate for their own benefit, as they did now expending their  period time  for two more years.  People here only get involve in politics when election time, and some time politics buy people votes, which is a disgrace.  But what can you do.  This is a third world country and that is how politic is arranged.

Above a photo I took of the beautiful gloriet of a little park not to far away where I live.  It is a lovely place where people seat during summer time to get fresh breeze and see the time passed while under the shades of centennial trees.

Hey Silverada:

positive attitude toward life, love and family
But you have described government expenditure in negative terms!

someone harm another person intentionally that is an act of evil
Here the military university trains people to do just that!

help another person in distress
Yet you hide from unhappy people!

non empathetic
I score low on empathy.

indifferent in front of people suffering
You avoid this problem by shunning suffering!

fears are like joyes, I laugh
Nervous laughter.

caught them trying to enter the house
You are territorial.

fears and repulsion
These are negative drives.

I conquered in there my fears of height
Well done. How do you challenge your other phobias?

kangaroo smell bad
It is strongly flavoured, tough meat.

God bless
No gods, no masters!

Dear Karma:

Karma

I try consciously  to disconnect
I can tell.

Silverada

If you don´t disconnect of other people suffering how could you help them when they need you?

 Karma

myself and not as others
Is it common there, for people to neglect each other?

Silverada

People here are very supportive of each other, I am too.  but sometime, people confused compassion with weakness and try to take advantage of you.  I am compassive but I don´t permit anyone to take advantage of my compasive attitude.  I do help those I am absolutely sure they need my help.

Karma

be as happy as I can
Like your politicians, whom you claim strive to be as rich as they can!

Silverada

How could you said that?  Politicians are moved by greed and sense of power. Trying to be happy under the circunstances you live, is the right way, in that way you transmit happines to your environment and the people that surrounded you.  When you face reality avoiding drama, it help you to be be more  objective and things appears to be as they are, circunstances good or bad today,  that tomorrow  will be completely irrelevant to you or others.

Karma

my late husband suffered that, as well as my daughter.
How do families there manage mental illness?

Silverada

My late husband manic depression was very severe, and it made him to refuge on heavy drinking, which make him very sick and abusive.  Eventually he died at a relative young age. I encouraged him to have medical support, he tried it  but he was not constant   on it and relased all the time.   I gave up on him after 12 years of marriage.  My daughter bipolarity it is mild, she works on the medical field so she knows how to take care of that.  She is now majoring on molecular biology.  She has a husband and a dauther and I could see she is relatively well and happy, perhaps  with her ups and downs, but who don´t? .  I could notice  her husband very supportive to her and they get along fine.    My granddauther is adorable and her father is crazy about her.  I am planning to visit them this year to USA,  if possible, I do miss her and my granddaughter.  When she was born I stayed in their house for three months.  Taking care of my granddaughter was a great experience to me, I am looking for  spending more time with her now that she is three years old.    Thinking about that new encounter with my lovely granddauther make smile and happy. Happyness can  come to us just from thinking about small things as is my three years granddaughter.

That is a coconut tree I used to have on my back yard tiny garden.  It was growing and growing  and  difficulting  to take down the many coconuts fruits.  So I have someone cutting it  a few moths ago.  I do missed that beatiful tree but it was getting to dangerous to some one to go up to get down those delicious coconuts.
