i received a summons for jury duty about 3 mo. ago.

Knowing how much judges HATE informed juries that know that their duty may involve completely ignoring the judge's "instructions" regarding what "the law" is, and further, that they have the right and duty to judge not only the facts, but in all criminal matters, also the law itself, i prepared a nice little compendium of stories and citations to prove exactly that.

i had planned on handing it out to all my fellow-jurors, thus clarifying the pool(to me), but "polluting" it, to the judges.

In fact, knowing which day and time most jurors are called, i may well stand outside the local courthouse doors on each Monday AM, and hand them out.

Could save some poor soul who's being railroaded by some unjust "law" for a "Crime" that involves exactly zero damage to any living soul in their lives, liberty, or property.

If anyone's interested in reading 'em, let me know, and i'll either post 'em here, or PM them to you.  Your choice.

Warmest regards-

Hatman

My mistake. Both the Yahoo and Telegraph stories had this year's date on them. That said, it's a cute story.

It's not your mistake. You posted what your source said. I agree that it is a cute story, and appreciated the opportunity to read it.

What is this, a contest as to who the biggest moron in Massachusetts is?

The owner or the jury commissioner?
