My middle son is in the middle school band.  My youngest son is in the elementary school choir.  They are wearing me out with Christmas program rehearsals, parades, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, Christmas parties, and multiple concerts.  I'm looking forward to Christmas break because it will mean all of that mess is over, at least until spring concert time.  Ah, but it all does get me in the Christmas spirit.  I froze my nose off at the Christmas tree lighting last week, but it was fun and festive.  It's a great time of year, isn't it?  How are the Christmas activities and preparations going for you in your neck of the woods?

Well, we will have a white Christmas, as we are having a blizzard and the temperature has dropped for 27 to 16 degrees since I came to work.

I must say, though, it seems a fairly weeny blizzard compared to the blizzards we used to have.  :)

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard was not what I meant...

I'm in Texas, so I don't think we'll be expecting an blizzzards around here, although it did actually snow last week for a few hours.  It was pretty while it lasted.  That's how I like my snow, short and sweet.

On top of all the festivities my kids are involved in, my students are turning in their research papers this week and my goal is to have them graded before we get out for the holidays, which is next Friday.  That is definitely going to keep me busy.  I just don't want them hanging over my head during Christmas break.
