When the kids were younger, they had to follow an 'egg trail' to find their baskets. We would put little notes in those plastic eggs with cryptic clues (a little less cryptic if the kids were younger) to find another egg. For instance, they'd all start with an egg next to their pillow. It might say, "Look for me where you keep your feet dry" and he or she would have to go looking for boots, where they'd find the next egg with another clue. Eventually, the clues would lead each child to his or her easter basket, usually in some out of the way spot like the dryer or the shower or on top of the refrigerator. With four kids, it took hours to make all those clues!
